We told you a few weeks ago about the buzz surrounding Jennie Garth's possible involvement in the new 90210 spin-off.
And, now, it's confirmed!
Kelly Taylor will be playing a guidance counselor at her old stomping grounds of West Beverly Hills High.
Unfortunately, she won't be on every episode. Garth is being billed as a "recurring" role.
They've gotta bring Brenda back, yo!
And, instead of Tori, they should totally add Candy Spelling to the cast!!!!
How hot would that be???
Candy can play the principle that's an old, evil bitch.
That role would be perfect for her!

I LIKE JENNIE BUT I REALLY WISH THAT BRENDA WAS COMING BACK INSTEAD OF KELLY. BRENDA WAS ALWAYS THE ONE HELPING PEOPLE. SHE COULD HAVE RETURNED AS A DRAMA TEACHER.
She looks like my mom! She's so matronly looking. She could at least get a younger hair style. Is she going to play the principal? Geez, she looks so much older than typical hollywood starlets her age.

Why would they wana cast Jennie Garth as Kelly Taylor when Shannen Doherty as Brenda Walsh is WAYYYYYYYY more popular? Love her or hate her Shannen and Brenda Walsh are more popular. Brenda was only on for not even half the shows run and she is still one of the most popular characters n the show and Brenda and Dylan are on of the most popular and most loved tv couples in history. What are they thinking??!! If they want better ratings they would add Shannen wit the quickness.
Jason Priestly could probably use the cash since he's co owner of an indy race team now and he probably hasn't been doing much acting. I think Andrea is wetting herself uncontrollably in a nursing home somewhere and Shannon Doherty is earning her keep giving homeless people bj's behind dumpsters in trade for menthol cigarettes and spare change. What ever happened to that Claire chick? She has some kick ass titties. I hear from my sources that Tyler Perry is going to write the first 4 episodes so don't be surprised if madea is running the peach pit and hitting folks with frying pans because that's hilarious to black people. I love homo guys in drag. I think David Silver is in hiding because he's pissed that nobody asked him to do the worm on dancing with the has beens. Wasn't it hilarious when the cowboy dude shot himself at the birthday party? The new version is going to blow harder than speed racer.

I grew up on 90210 and am a little nervous about a re-do . . . can they recapture the "magic" of something that Spelling himself cast? Aaron Spelling was a TV genius and giant. I'll watch especially with original cast members coming back, but I'm not sure they can make it as great as it was.

I'm totally excited about this news! I was a big fan of the show back in the day but stopped watching after the college years. It's too bad that her role is only reoccuring as a faculty member, it would be much better if she was the hot mom of the family. What's the rest of the cast up to? Could Andrea's daughter now be a student at the school? Or what about Kelly and David's little sister? Just don't use the Walsh house as the setting anymore, it was lame for everyone to continue living there after Brandon and Brenda were gone.
Someone needs to tell Jennie that those neon front teeth are NOT a good look for anyone, let alone her!
