Skimpy prom dress lands teen in cuffs
HOUSTON — Marche Taylor’s prom night experience wasn’t what you would call the norm.
That’s because instead of a night of dancing and hanging out with friends, the Madison High School senior ended in a confrontation with school officials and her being escorted out in handcuffs. All because school officials said her dress was inappropriate for the school prom.
"I actually like the dress. Everybody else likes my dress,” Taylor said of her custom-made dress as she showed it off Friday afternoon.
Madison High's prom took place at the Sugar Land Marriot. But Taylor only got as far as the lobby because when she tried to enter the ballroom an official stopped her.

She was told her dress violated a school dress code.
"She shook her head, she was like you are not getting into this prom,” said Taylor. “We were arguing back and forth because I wanted to know why I can't get into my prom.”
Even after offering to provide more cover, Taylor was still denied access to the final soiree of the school year.
At that point, Taylor said she was furious. After all this was her senior prom. She argued if she couldn't get in, she wanted her money back.
Things got so bad, the next thing she knew, someone had called the police. Officers showed up, handcuffed her and escorted her out.
A photographer snapped a photo of Taylor in handcuffs, being led out of the hotel.

Madison High School Principal Aubrey Taylor said says the dress was inappropriate and violated the rules.
“It was revealing in such nature it was not appropriate for the prom,” said Taylor, who stood by the school official who denied Taylor access to the event.
And while she regrets how things turned out, Taylor thinks she had little choice.
"They didn't give me any options, but to go to jail or go home,” she said.
And she still loves her prom dress, even though in the end it will cost her dearly.

I saw this the other day on the news (I live in Houston). It looks even smaller when its video. That is not a dress, its a scarf and a hand towel. Also, it wasnt because her dress looked like she was gonna end up in a trashy motel room later, but because she wasn't wearing undergarments. This slut is trying to make herself look good, inspite of coming off as a skank.

Wow it really makes me laugh to see all the comments of "where are her parents??" Guess what?? She's ghetto black trash or what I like to call…well you can probably guess…I doubt they will post this if I say it. Her mother probably made the dress and her father is more than likely non-existent. Her 'guardians' probably thought she looked good. I am from Sugar Land and on the way into work her mom called in to the radio station and said she does not want the money back for the prom ticket because her daughter broke the rules - FINALLY A PARENT WITH COMMON SENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, here it is…. I agree with the girl that she should've been let into her prom that night since she agreed to go put something over that "dress". She made a very fair compromise in my eyes. However, that "dress" constitutes as more of a bikini than an evening gown. I've only been out of high school for 5 years, but times have certainly changed a ton already! I remember it being scandenlous to have a completely bare back! So, in those terms, I agree with the school that she should not have been allowed in with that "dress" on. However, they took it WAY too far by calling the police. She's just a kid that wanted to go to her high shcool senior prom. Give her a break!

Our prom had no dress code that was 6 years ago… but nothing ever this bad the dress is bad..but if paris hilton was wearing it know one would say a thing.
