I am from Norway, but have been living many years abroad, so I guess it is ok for me to give you a reply…;0) I don't mind your opinions about Norway, it is ok for me that you didn't like living there. But, I think with your comments, you are making the same errors you accuse Norwegians for making. I got the impression that you think all people from N. are narrow-minded and not oriented about what is happening in the rest of the world. But, aren't you, when you generalise like you do? Ex: Not all Norwegians will get drunk on a bar in Mallorca. So loosen up a bit, stop putting people into categories, but give them a chance! Anyway, I think this post is about Erlend, who got a great voice after all!

OMG This kid is just incredible talented! Beautiful, fantastic voice, this just being an untought 16yearold boy there is no doubt he'll in time stand on this worlds largest stages! And common, who the fu** cares about how a teenager dresses, when I was 16 I used to wear a silver glove (because Michael Jackson did), a red cap in the back pocket of my wreched Levi's jeans (because Bruce Springsteen did), white pearls&brown lether bands around my neck and arms (kind of A - Ha and Cyndi Lauper combinding thing) black and pink makeup (because Madonna did), huge curly hair (because everybody did), and of course always SIX RIBBONS in my hair for lucky love (thank's to John English). Don't step on a kid for seaching for his or hers identity, it's an obviously natural developing thing when you're 16. Getting a fancy makeover to make them look 24 as soon as possible and for as long as possible is not. Keep it up kid, I actually like teenagers with integrity.

It is funny how you people (especially you, Andy) tell lies about Norway. We are in fact very open-minded towards foreigners and we have very little crime. Compared to USA, we have less racism and less violence. It is true that the government controls to much ("Norway - the last Soviet country"), but we have a great time here. And about the girls: Both Swedish AND Norwegian girls are beautiful, and not so beautiful. People should understand that. I can't really understand why people talk so much about looks. We are born with our looks, and that's how they are.

I live in Norway but I wasn't born here. Whilst I will agree in regards to the comments you make about Norwegians and their trips to Mallorca, I really disagree on a lot of other issues you raise. I am glad you have found happiness in America and it suits you better. Your hatred for this country is so obvious that I feel bad for you, and somehow I doubt that you really know much about this country since you haven't lived here in a long time. Norway has improved a lot in recent years, and I'm happy to say that I will be staying. I have moved around the world, and have lived in a lot of countries, and I like Norway. Here there are gay priests and some of the best laws in the world against racism. Here there are also the best medical care in the world; it´s free! There are extremely few homeless people and we HAVE personal freedom here. It looks to me like you are talking about the old Russia. And what´s wrong with Norwegians loving their county?
