The movie is getting mixed reviews. Not good!
The well-respected Times only gave the pic 2 out of 5 stars!
Here are some highlights of what their critic has to say:
- There may be a problem with a film when a narrator constantly tells you the meaning of what you have just seen, gift-wrapping each scene with a moral.
- There may be a problem with stretching Sex and the City into a two hour and twenty minute film - it can feel like a never ending dinner party: however pleasant the courses, after a while you can hardly eat another one.
It should be noted, however, that the reviewer was a guy.

It is irrelevant that reviewer is male and may not be gay.A shit movie is a shit movie. SATC has been over cooked and its theme is so passe it is nauseating.
JUST SAW THE MOVIE - I liked the series BUT MAN IT WAS WAY TOO LONG AND TOO BORING !!!!! WILL WAIT FOR THE DVD ……I THINK TV HAS MOVED ON SINCE THIS SERIES - It was very predictable !!!
These reviewers should never be listened to cos they are all a bunch of old men who just don't seem to be able to understand that films are not the same as they were 10 yrs ago, and they defo aint the same as they were 20 yrs ago.
The only film reviewer I listen to is the mighty James King who is on every Wednesday and Friday from 2.30 pm on Edith Bowman's radio show BBC Radio One - honestly if u want a decent review listen to the King!!!

Reality: Movie will suck just like show. Please get some clever and real writers for the next big "risque" flavor of the month. OMG that blonde one is such a slut and doesnt even hide it - how daring and uber cool (but it provides some relief for a confused and troubled generation - man I sympathize with them)! I smell best character ever!

I am GAY and I have no desire to see this tired rehash of the HBO series. None of them have really done much since. It has also been a while since SITC was on some some might not remember it if some new pop icons like Brit S or Jessica S were not in it. After all in US pop culture most of these women are ready for the rest home.

funny how the whole idea of SITC is Carrie's life/material for her column- there's supossed to be a moral & conclusion to everything- she's writing her freakin column while she's battling hers & her friends issues!! These "critics" need to do their research before criticing ANY movie- especially when it's a film that has followed a 6 season series- morons!

Re: charity case – Yeah, thats asking way too much. How would she really know your financial situation? Or your age? Anyone can find random photos and send them to her,asking for 5,000 dollars. How would she know that you are actually using them for braces? How do I even know Im responding to a real 16 year old girl? She must get millions upon millions of letters a week from around the world and she has been busy filming 2 movies (the other one is called Smart People) and traveling and promoting and shooting magazine covers and who knows what else. I doubt she even read your letter. Not that she doesnt care, but for lack of time. I know I dont have time to read millions of letters… and my life is way less hectic than hers
This movie was made for the cult following of the show…the narration was part of every show, narrating is Carrie…this movie was not made to bring on new fans it was to satisfy the already gazzillion fans….if you didn't like the show you're not going to like the movie genius.
