Big Gay Al Speaks!

Filed under: When Celebrities Blog > Star Jones

wenn1537788__opt.jpg

Al Reynolds is misunderstand, y'all.

The soon-to-be former Mr. Star Jones was us to pity him! Boo hoo.

B.G.A. has just posted a big gay rant on his official MySpace.

This is what he has to say:

"Dear Friends: If you think you are having a tough day, may I propose you walk in my shoes for a few hours. In my mind, it feels like “Dump on Al Month.” And I’m not having fun yet. I have been called a gigolo, a freeloader, unemployed, a sham and many other things that don’t bear repeating. People on television, radio and the internet have spoken disparagingly of my life, my sexuality, my career and my integrity. The media has barraged me (at my home), my friends, my family(including my 79 year old mother), my college classmates, my students and my professional colleagues. Yet, despite this intense level of provocation, I have said nothing. My Publicist has put out a one sentence statement: “We’re taking the high road.” And we have and will continue on that path. As much as I want to defend myself, it seems like a silly and futile exercise. It’s clear that the media doesn’t want to let the truth get in the way of a good story. I hate to ruin their fun. I take great comfort in the fact that my loved ones and those people who really know me continue to love and respect me. Thank you “all” for the endless emails, phone calls and words of encouragement. I know in my heart that I entered my marriage with love and the best of intentions and leave it with great sadness that it didn’t work. What the world doesn’t know about me would fill a book, but I know who I am and what I have achieved in my life. Before I met Star Jones I was a successful Wall Street banker and since then I have become an entrepreneur, an educator and soon, an author. I grew up in a working class home, a mobile home in fact. I understand the struggles of the working class. My mother was a teacher and my father was in the military. I was given values, integrity and a strong moral upbringing (thanks mom and dad). In these hard economic times, I am working to take my knowledge and experience of the business world and use it to empower and enlighten working class Americans who are often ‘left behind’ by traditional financial advice. I educate inspiring young men and women at Florida Memorial University, a historically black liberal arts university in Miami, Florida. I continue to follow my entrepreneurial spirit in the world of business and investment while completing my doctorate in Organizational Leadership. So I indeed work very hard as a professor, business owner, doctoral student and author. I play hard too. I make no apologies for that. A guy is entitled to a little fun, after all. What I want people to know is that I am not the caricature portrayed by the media. I am complex, contradictory and capable of great intelligence but also remarkable stupidity. In other words, I am a human being. To me, labels are for clothes, not people. So…..Please don’t try to define me; don’t try to categorize me; and most of all, don’t label me. Instead, JUST GET TO KNOW ME. And if you see me, just call me Al."

Thoughts?????

Poor man. He sounds very very frustrated. If it's any consolation to him, I never heard of him until today and I don't care why he married Star Jones, how he spends his time, or whether or not he prefers to be with men. Either way, he sounds frustrated . . . but there are people in the world that are waaaaay worse off than him.

Paul Simon Said it best,"If you'll be my bodyguard
I can be your long lost pal
    I can call you Betty
And Betty when you call me
You can call me Al "

His publicist??? Since when does an investment banker need a publicist?? I wonder if the marriage was part of his entreprenuer plans. Using Star to make a name for himself, a brand. Shameful in my opinion, seducing a vunerable fat girl (because fat girls, myself included, are taken advatage of alot).

Please not references to being an author and writing books. I do belive Star is receiving veiled threats.

The guy is quite articulate. So what if he is gay…there happens to be some nice gay men around (Perez).
Would I want to be married to Star Jones? Hell, no. She seems to like the public eye, her perfectly executed wedding, and her NON surgery weight loss and her flatting her mouth about her marriage and Barbara.
This guy blogged, stated his point, did not put Ms. Jones down in any way…very decent of him.

I don't like it when any gay man marries a woman UNLESS she KNOWS that he is gay and is okay with it. Most women would not be or are not. I have had too many friends and seen too many women find out the hardest way possible that their husband is gay, when they are married and my friends had children too. The wives have a very hard time, and then on top of that, trying to explain it to their children. The women are made jokes of in the public eye while the gay man who fooled them and maybe theirself also, get all of the sympathy. Oh poor "Joe" or whoever, it's hard for him! Yeah sure right they go on and live their happy gay lives and leave the torn shredded women they married and the children behind.
That I do not like, condone and never will. It was strange that my kids, ( I don't know what they read, or where they heard it)
told me that Star Jones was marrying a gay man. I watched the show, listened to her and just figured it could not be true from how she was acting andhow things were going at the time going into the marriage, she seemed so happy. I just figured it was NOT true that he was gay.

I think he has gotten a bad rap. . .but that "remarkable stupidity" he speaks of, that would definitely be marrying a controlling bitch like Star.

I met him & Star, they are both assholes. She is the cheapest person I have ever met. And he kept thinking we were all talking about him. we didn't even know who he was until Star showed up. No one cares about him. He needs to just realize we call him Big Gay Al because that's exactly what he is. I can't stand him he's so annoying! A month after the divorce is final no one will even remember who he is. He might as well suck up as much publicity as possible since it will all be over soon!!!

Well said, Al. The high road is definitely a lonely jaunt…..but it is worth it. Keep your head up and this, too, shall pass.

Good luck to you. Unfortunately, the road ahead of you is probably going to get pretty ugly.

    Keep your integrity.

For someone who is growing in popularity as the days go by you may want to work on your spelling.
    "Al Reynolds is MISUNDERSTOOD, y'all.
The soon-to-be former Mr. Star Jones WANTS us to pity him! Boo hoo."

    Still love you though.

From the sound of it, I like him.

And just because you fall in love with a big girl, that doesn't mean you have a fetish or are closeted gay…

    229

TEAM AL!!!! I love the fact that u can stand up for yourself and still take the high road so to speak. Keep it up soldier!!!!!

    Dear Big Gay Al,

It's not your words that will define you but your actions.

Your actions suck, ergo you suck, literally apparently.

By the way, there's nothing new or strange about an obese woman (who was probably obese on purpose in order to avoid intimacy, most likely stemming from being molested in her youth) becoming friends with a fun gay guy who's got the same aspirations as yourself.

She probably didn't know he was gay and if such information came to her beforehand she probably dismissed it due to her deep longing to get married. We all make mistakes. It was and always will be a mistake to marry such person as you can see, it never works out in the end.

Hope is just delayed disappointment. I think we've all been there.

In conclusion, I hate Big Gay Al. Lying scumbag who so obviously took advantage of Star. They are both responsible for their actions but she didn't hide who she was, she was what she was. Al lied one thousand % about himself. Now she's wiser.

By the way, I'm really no fan of Star either.

    Peace.

    .

Star is just divorcing Big Al because she is sick of taking it up the butt and being called Bruce. hahahaha

After reading Al's comments, I have come to the conclusion that this man deserves a break. He is right, there are also two sides to every story and it should be their choice to keep intimate details of their life together private. All that being said, Good Luck to you Al and I hope everything works out for you both. Sometimes the media just doesn't play fair.
