It seems that things might be going sour for Carmen Electra and her "fiance" Rob Patterson, guitarist for Korn.
Just three weeks ago, everyone was talking about the huge black diamond Carmen had on her engagement ring finger.
The ring was given to her during her 36th birthday.
Rob proposed to Carmen just last month, but sources are saying they might not make it down the aisle.
We don't think Carmen was too happy to learn that her new engagement ring cost less than $2k, which Patterson purchased online on Mysolitaire.com.
An insider tells Life & Style, "She seems really embarrassed. I think the ring is a real deal breaker. She thought she'd be getting this giant rock. Instead, Rob bought it online for a bargain price!"
Well, this does kind of make her seem like she's just money hungry!
The insider adds, "Rob doesn't have a lot of money coming in and he's been driving around in Carmen's car while she's working. He's a total freeloader. Carmen's starting to realize that Rob may not be able to hold up his end of the bargain."

So will they stay together or not?
The insider adds that "they aren't breaking up tomorrow. She's shooting the movie Goodie Two Shoes in Louisiana and has lots of appearances lined up, so she and Rob won't be together that much. The less time they spend together, the longer the relationship will drag on, but it won't last. She'll come to her senses."
Let's count this relationship as ovah.
Maybe it's time for Korn to put out a new album and Rob to make some more money???

If a ring that isnt expensive enough is the deal breaker it was never a deal to begin with- Hope he finds someone to appreciate the gesture rather than the price!
He's not even the real guitarist for Korn. He never looked like anybody in Korn to me so I looked it up online and he is just like a backup guitarist for Korn on tour and I don't even think he's doing that anymore. Is not and never was a member of Korn. Not that he's a bad guy or anything. He's just not what they are saying he is.
They're both idiots. Carmen is an idiot for repeatedly hooking up with loser rocker guys who she knows are bad for her and who she knows are incapable of long term relationships. Rob is an idiot for being broke. Korn made boatloads of cash in the 90's and the early 2000's from CD sales and touring. For him to piss his share away, which must have been in the millions, while his bandmates aren't broke, makes him a total idiot. They're perfect for each other.
It must suck to have to use money to define a relationship. Up's and downs is what makes a relationship stronger, And why's everyone so eager to jump into marriage anyways, obviously it's not a gurantee. But whatever …….

I met Carmen in NYC a year or so ago at the Ripleys Times Square opening party…she is NOT that cute in person and she's very oily dirty looking..and her teeth are kind of gray. Not sure why..but I have never found her to be that hot. Maybe her man sobered up and saw her for what she really is…a white trash oily ho with fake tits and gray teeth.
I'd previously read on US that the ring was estimated at around 100K and I'm sorry, but there is NO WAY!!!! It looks like a piece of crap, so yeah, I don't doubt it cost less than 2K…What a joke

You can get a 3 carat black diamond on ebay for less than $200. Black diamond is worth much less because it is (99.99% of the time) opaque. Diamonds are sought for their clarity, which the black diamond obviously doesn't have. This is why small black diamonds are used for diamond saw blades; used in construction, and in stone cutting. Until recently (more people appreciating the unique), there has been no marketplace for black diamonds.
Using my knowledge of gemology, I'd say she has got to be shallow, gold digging, and not too informed about diamonds for her to not appreciate the ring.
And any woman who'd break up with a guy because of how much he paid for the ring should end up as an old spinster. My FIL is a wholesaler, my husband got his pick of stones (up to 1 ct) for $1, picking the smaller one because it's clarity was better. Does that mean that he doesn't love me? No, that means that he knows me, and that I'd prefer a smaller, better quality ring as opposed to a larger piece of crap.
What did she expect about the ring? There are two kinds of "black diamonds". One is a real diamond that has so many flaws that it looks very dark or black and the other is a stone that is not a real diamond, called a carbonado. I saw an article where she was all "oh I love the ring! It's different like the two of us!" She's been in Hollywood all these years and she doesn't know the four C's of diamond quality? As soon as I heard "black diamond" I knew it was a bargain basement ring.
