i love weezer..but this song is a big fat nahhh- in my book.
the beggining is flipping awesome but then it pulled a turn for the worst going into a polka enduced techno version of queen.

Didn't Eminem do this with Encore? The whole I'm exceptionally talented and bored with what music I create that I will put 20 songs into one thing? The only difference being, of course, that Eminem did it when he was at his peak, while Weezer did it after bad (green), blasphemingly bad (maladroit), and meh (make believe) albums. It sounds like Cuomo's pissed about how pandering to the mainstream turned out, but instead of going back to the sweet spot like blue or pinkerton it sounds like he opted for an experimental tantrum.

WEEIRD. i find it bizarre to redo a hymn into a song like this; especially with these lyrics. Lord of the Dance is a classic church hymn and i'd definitely rather listen to that. i do love Weezer though…
I'm surprised no one has said anything yet about the fact that the piano melody line (and subsequent stuff) is a variation of the traditional hymn Simple Gifts. The song feels a little disjointed at first but I think it might grow on me.

Perez, I love Weezer and I think they're a great band who made many great songs. This one however is a nice generic Weezer song, but I don't really see it as a single. It could just as well have been an album track on Maladroit or green album, it sounds generic and could just as well have been released 10 years ago and it would still sound the same.
