It may be sad what Mr Moore said…but it is also true. Republicans do hate and rich American based Cubans (who are mostly Republican) have been corrupting American Politics since January 1st, 1959. Both JFK and RFK would probably still be alive if it weren't for Cuban influence over right wing American politics. Sad, but true.

while i agree statements like that are bigoted and horrible, that book came out in 1997. i would argue that Moore has at least partially reversed his stance on this issue due to the footage in Sicko. you know, the footage where he applauds Cuba for their health care system.
Ok, now seriously have you read the book? You of all people should know how well the media takes things out of context. I'm sure most of the people leaving comments haven't actually read the book and therefore are just reading the article, assuming he just made those statements but said nothing else. I have an idea before you make an unintelligent comment about something that you obviously have no idea what your talking about, turn off your computer, read a book. You don't have to buy it go to the library and make an educated decision for yourself. Otherwise, all your doing is repeating someone elses opinion. I bet most of the people here are too lazy for that. Why read a book and educate yourself when you can just turn on your computer and have someone else tell you how to feel? It's a shame.

had you or any of your colleagues done just a LITTLE research into the accusations of the article (mainly entailing quotes from Moore's book "Downsize THIS") you would know the context in which Moore's book was written. So, instead of trying to educate people (which is obviously not what your website sets out to do, but still could incorporate into your gossip) you choose to jump on a sad little uneducated bandwagon that knows nothing about which you speak. The easiest way to overcome this? Take a deeper, research approach to what headlines you create (regurgitate, rather). But since that approach would take a little more energy than just "read-assume-post", that may be beyond your team's capabilities.

If Mr. Moore said this he has a point. I lived in Miami for 15 years and have seen the extremes those Cubans are willing to go through to affect change here in America when they should have had the balls to do that in their own country. You do realize that Michael Moore was using a generalization in a satire book, right ? The quotes mentioned in this article come from Downsize This, a book he wrote more than a decade ago, so its not as if this isn't old news…Moore is more making a comparison to the lives lived by Cubans in Miami compared to Cubans in Cuba. While one has "freedom" the other has more equality.
