Those 3 judges are not necessarily against "equality", nor do they contend that a homosexuals should not be able to marry, rather, they rule based on findings of fact and contentions of law presented in the litigation at issue. Politicians are able to be "for" and "against" gay marriage, supreme court justices, however, are not supposed to be activists, but instead rule on argument and precedent.
Yay! This is such exciting news everyone should have equal rights becuase when it comes down to it love is love and that is a beautiful thing. To think we are in the year 2008 and only one state allows gay marriage ugggh but I will stay positive and hope one day everyone can marry each other in all 50 states!!!

Yay! As a Californian, I am extremely proud that we have FINALLY made this step forward. I agree, Perez, we need to continue the battle to expand equality everywhere in this country, not only for gay and lesbian couples, but also for people with disabilities.
People with disabilities are still not permitted to have a legal marriage in any state in this nation without the immediate removal of necessary health care services, such as personal attendant work. I hope you can get out there the importance of equality for this demographic also.
