Ted Kennedy was rushed to the emergency room Saturday morning, and it could be quite serious.
Reports indicate that the Senator suffered stroke-like symptoms at the Kennedy compound in Hyannisport, Mass.
Ted was first rushed to Cape Cod Hospital around 9 AM.
After being in the emergency room for two hours there, he was transported to Barnstable Airport and was then flown to Massachusetts General Hospital.
There is no word on his condition.
Kennedy is 76 years old.

I am from MA. Senator Kennedy is a wonderful man. He has been a champion in the fight for civil rights, for equality and for working class values. He's fought tirelessly for people here in MA, much of it without fanfare. He is a political giant, standing up for unpopular things when he feels they are right (same sex marriage, civil rights, minimum wage standards). He has served an integral role in raising standards in this state and in this country, and we are the better for his years of public service. I pray for his health. For the non medical among us, I can tell you that more often than not a single seizure is caused by drug (tranquilizer) withdrawal, overdose of booze or CVA. Take your pick - I'm no fan of Mr. Kennedy but seizures are no fun. And they airlifted him out to maintain control of the information IMHO.
