I have faith in the writers this past season was the best and let's hope that Marc Cherry had plenty of time to think this through during that damn writers strike! I mean what the hell else do you think about while walking around in circles for hours and hours day after day. I would hope he would be going over every possible plot detail immaginable!!! That would be time well spent, I mean he had all that free time without the networks pressure to GO GO GO!!! Does anyone else get what I mean?!?!? lol so ya that's all I can hope for because my Sunday night depends on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really do love this show…

OK Everybody needs to calm down. First - the Finale was Awsome! it gave closure to main plots and set up new ones that will follow up next season. Like Gaby and Carlos and the new kids. What hapapend to carlos? When did the kids come in? For Lynette and Tom, Whats up with their out of control kids? PS, Kayla will be back with a mean Vengence! Susan and the new man? Bree an the Success…. Kathreen and her plots on top all that man leaves for lots for next season..That explains the whole time jump. This 5 year time jump is brillant. Its just what a show like DH needs to boost and refresh mysterious plots and Characters. That is the heart of storytelling in a show like Desperate Housewives. Get over it Bitches…. The new season will Rock and be Fresh with plots

obviously they are not going to start next season 5 years later they will start to show us how they got to the point they are at during the next few years….AMAZING ending…although i didnt catch why the daughter died till i rewatched it…it looked like she was under her bed but then it clicked(duhhhhhh)obviously mike and her dont stay together who cares who the guy is he is just her future stud…and if its 5 yrs later why does gabbies kid look 8-10???ugly looking thing, although she looked frumpy she didnt look fat-funny how peoples perceptions on fatness go, she is a normal looking person which made up would prob look good anyways!!!

Mikes dies. Susan Re-marries. Bri's a busy career woman. Carlos gains his sight back with expensive surgery. Gabby gives birth to twin girls. Tom & Lynnette sons are troubled teens. Lynettes been having an affair with Rick. Kayla returns as a pregnant and slightly disturbed teen. Edie returns with a husband and her now teenage son and baby/toddler daughter later on in the season. The gay couple adopt a child (either from africa or asia). katherine plans an extravagent wedding for dylan and has made up with adam.
I loved it! It was great to see Katherine Mayfair's mystery wrapped up. I was glad to see Kayla get kicked out. And I won't miss Edie a bit! She was removed from the credits a while back so if she comes back, I doubt it will be as a regular.
I'm not sure how I feel about the 5-year fast forward and the addition of Gale Harold's character. Only time will tell.

OMFG IT WAS SOOO AWSEOME …..WHY DO THEY DO THIS….WE HAVE TO WAIT TILL SEPTEMBER!!!! IT WAS BAD ENOUGH TO WAIT CUZ OF THE STRIKE….
OMFG!! It was great til the final 5 minutes, then, it got confusing. The whole 2-hours were intense. Katherine's story…wow…I wouldn't have thought of that, at first I didn't like her character…now that her behavior is explained I LOVE HER! Susan…I'm disappointed that neither of her children could grow up with their own father…=[ She did do great with Julie, though. Hopefully May-May/ Nerd, does well also. Lynette…not much of a shocker with the results, Kayle just had to go! I love Tom's character, he loves his wife so much…aww. Gabrielle, at first I thought they ended-up being broke because she looked like SH**, but I'm so proud of her! Bree….looks weird. Andrew is so grown and mature, they never show Benjamin though, or Danielle's outcome. Well, the whole thing was great. I just hope this is a glimpse and they go back to how it was when the new season comes along. I don't like not knowing what happened in 5 years..that's way too long, and obviously TOO MUCH has happened!
P.S. these posts are to comment on the show, not about saying who's 1st. There is no prize or reward. Especially for those who claim to be first and they're like number 63 or something. It just seems pretty ridiculous and pathetic!

I loved the entire finale up until the end. They totally ruined Gaby's character by making her frumpy and a mother, that's not who her character is. Lynette's kids being delinquents, not too surprising. Susan and Mike not together after only 5 years? That's pretty lame…I hope all of this is just a dream or something because you can't just jump 5 years like that it makes no sense. Don't ruin my show!

Alright folks, Heres the info on the show…Season 5 will be placed 5 years later, as Marc wanted to give the show a fresh new start.. The show is signed on until 2011 and season 7 where Marc has said he plans to end the show by possible having season 7 being a pre-season describing life on the lane prior to the death of Mary Alice. As for the newt season, the actors playing Julie, Danielle, Dylan, and Lynette's kids will not be back except for in flashbacks, Mrs. McCluskey is loosing her hearing, Carlos stays blind, Katherine is good friends with the wives, Bree is on her way to becoming the next Martha Stewart, and Edie does return having changed her way of life. Mike may or may not be back but Susan is with actor Gale Harold(Queer as Folk) and Maynard may go by M.J. instead of Maynard, also Gabbie has 2 children, Juanita and Celia, whom she is frustrated with because they don't live up to her standard of beauty but than again neither is she anymore. There will be a total of 24 episode next season so enjoy!! Back in the fall!!

That was BEYOND anticlimatic… I hadn't seen it, and everyone was like IT'LL CHANGE YOUR LIFE.. and I was like… uh… when are they going to start eating each other? Seriously, I thought that when she killed her ex, Bree was convincing the others to come over and eat his body. Almost as much of a disappointment, climax-wise, as Million Dollar Baby, and that is saying A LOT. You could have almost predicted it! QAF hottie was in the credits at the beginning… yet hadn't shown up yet… so, there ya go. They need to bring back Harriet Sansom Harris, stat!
