Those of you who inexplicably like the finale all say the same thing….Gale Harold. I think that speaks to the TERRIBLE quality of the writing. None of you are commenting on the Dana Delaney story, which was the central plot in the finale. You're all just sex-crazed over Gale Harold. How about a reality check???!
I hope Edie comes back - she should have always been equal to the other womwn. And Gabrielle should not have kids, they should have at least one main character without kids.

Just to clarify it to you, MR OR MS not so nice or polite LAPerson,
A lot of us have never watched Desperate Housewives and only watched the finale for Gale Harold. So we don't know much about the writing of the show. We follow Gale Harold because he was the break-out star of a 5 year tv show series, and mostly due to him it gained a loyal following, well he and a beautiful blond. He deserves the best roles possible and his own series, but I will watch him on anything including this show, no matter how good or bad the writing. He'll make the most of what he is given and that's a guarantee!
I love the season Finale untill the end I was confussed when i saw gabby with the two little girls where those her actual daughters? What happen to Carlos? Then Susan kissing that different dude at the end? What happen to mike? Was that suppose to be mike just a different guy? I can't wait till the next season I want all my questions answered!!

You guys are EASILY amused with this craptastic finale. What was so original about the Dana Delany storyline?? It was absolutely outrageous and totally unbelievable!! I think the writers are ABSOLUTELY brain-dead! I bet a lot of you gals who are praising the finale have never seen the FAR superior Dynasty finale where the whole cast was shot and the viewer had no idea who would be alive next season. Now that was a major shock and a CLASSIC finale. The Desperate Housewives finale was CRAP! You guys are praising the finale because of the introduction of a new character and a look into the future…..which had absolutely nothing to do with the preceding hour. That was NO finale. Shameful, lame-ass writing. Cancel the show!!
And another thing… the writers had to tack on the last 3 minutes, because they surely realized how anti-climactic and far-fetched the preceding hour was, especially for a season finale. These writers need to stay away from criminal plots, because, time and time again, they consistently prove that they are not good action writers. Look at the disasterous tornado epiosode with the embarrassing special effects. This series has been rapidly declining since the second season. It's time to hang it up. The writers have lost their edge!

HERE'S THE SCOOP…..
Alright folks, Heres the info on the show…Season 5 will be placed 5 years later, as Marc wanted to give the show a fresh new start.. The show is signed on until 2011 and season 7 where Marc has said he plans to end the show by possible having season 7 being a pre-season describing life on the lane prior to the death of Mary Alice. As for the newt season, the actors playing Julie, Danielle, Dylan, and Lynette's kids will not be back except for in flashbacks, Mrs. McCluskey is loosing her hearing, Carlos stays blind, Katherine is good friends with the wives, Bree is on her way to becoming the next Martha Stewart, and Edie does return having changed her way of life. Mike may or may not be back but Susan is with actor Gale Harold (Queer as Folk) and Maynard may go by M.J. instead of Maynard, also Gabbie has 2 children, Juanita and Celia, whom she is frustrated with because they don't live up to her standard of beauty but than again neither is she anymore. There will be a total of 24 episode next season so enjoy! Be Back in the fall!

THANKS GOODNESS GALE IS BACK! I have been waiting for him to come back in a big way…..and to be the "big twist" in a major show's finale…WOO HOO! Go Gale! I hope this show doesnt make the mistake of killing him off like "Vanished" did….big mistake! They need to keep him around for a long time!
