Ted Kennedy has been diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor.
The 76-year-old was rushed to the hospital this past weekend with what family members thought was a stroke but ended up being a seizure caused by the malignant growth in his brain.
Malignant gliomas are a type of brain cancer diagnosed in about 9,000 Americans a year — and the most common type among adults. It's a starting diagnosis: How well patients fare depends on what specific tumor type is determined by further testing.
Average survival can range from less than a year for very advanced and aggressive types — such as glioblastomas — or to about five years for different types that are slower growing.
So sad.
Our thoughts and positive energy go out to the Senator and his family.

Holy cow! My uncle's wife was diagnosed with the same thing 3 weeks ago! PS, she never drove off a bridge with someone in her car. Guess you can get cancer whether you were good or bad

He too has had a life filled with tragedy that none of us can ever imagine, yet was still determined to try to do good for others.

I suspected that the seizure was not a good sign that if it was not the result of a stroke something seriously had occurred. Especially, for someone who is over 65 years of age.
The accident was nearly 40 years ago, and (I bet) before you were even born. Today's topic is on his illness and the service that he has given this country since 1962.
Send your prayers to Kennedy and his family, and if you can't find forgiveness for his actions of the past then I pray that you find forgiveness within yourself.
I feel for his family. My Grandmother passed away from an aggressive brain tumor. Its not easy to see someone's brain disappear over night.

The facts as known back then are not as portrayed here. For a start, Wiki is more objective and neutral, and you can draw your own conclusions. (Laura Bush) She did not leave someone to die, she did not wait more than 48 hours to let someone know there was an accident, and she did not help to cover up a rape and try to accuse the victim. So sad, this mirrors the diagnosis of my dad who had glioblastoma. He lived 2 years and just passed away this past February. All political crap aside this is an awful disease and my heart goes out to their family.
