Heartbreaking Discovery

Ted Kennedy has been diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor.

The 76-year-old was rushed to the hospital this past weekend with what family members thought was a stroke but ended up being a seizure caused by the malignant growth in his brain.

Malignant gliomas are a type of brain cancer diagnosed in about 9,000 Americans a year — and the most common type among adults. It's a starting diagnosis: How well patients fare depends on what specific tumor type is determined by further testing.

Average survival can range from less than a year for very advanced and aggressive types — such as glioblastomas — or to about five years for different types that are slower growing.

So sad.

Our thoughts and positive energy go out to the Senator and his family.

"I am so saddend by this day and it will haunt me just like 9/11 has done so. To lose the last of the strong Kennedy brothers will just dampen us as americans, we've already lost John, Bobby, John John how many more do we have to lose?"
You are insane! We will all die.

The Story of Teddy part I
Once upon a time there was a US senator named Teddy. He had a beautiful wife who loved him very much, but Teddy was a naughty boy. He liked to drink and kiss other women. Teddy also liked to drive after drinking.
Teddy liked Mary Jo. One night after drinking lots of whiskey, Mary Jo got into Teddy's Oldsmobile so he could drive her home. Wheee! Down the road Teddy raced.
Soon they came upon a bridge. Teddy told Mary Jo to hang on while he floored it. Then something bad happened. The car plunged into the dark river.
Slowly and steadily Teddy got out of the car and swam to shore.
Mary Jo cried out "Help!" but Teddy didn't hear her as he ran home. The car sank to the bottom of the river. Mary Jo died.
Teddy made it home alive and got into bed.
Then he told his friends what had happened. He was very sad because he could be fired from the senate and go to jail. His friends told him not to be sad. They would make this bad thing go away.

The Story of Teddy part II
Two days later Teddy called the police and told them of the bad thing he had done. They told him not to worry. They would make this bad thing go away just like they had done for his dad.. They were afraid of Teddy. He could get them fired and put them in jail because he was very rich and powerful.
Teddy wore a neck brace and tried to look really sad when he was in public. He also gave Mary Jo's parents some money.
A few days later Teddy didn't feel bad anymore and raised taxes. He continued to drink and kiss women. Teddy's wife finally divorced him. Teddy got a new wife, but he still kept drinking and kissing other women.
One day Teddy passed out even though he wasn't drunk. Oh no! Teddy was sick with brain cancer.!
All of Teddy's family and friends called. This story is so wonderful because they all got to say good bye to him in person unlike Mary Jo's friends and family.
    The end.

Because Senator Kennedyhas thsi I will not EXCUSE him for Chappaquidick. Because maryJo died, I will not EXCUSE her for having an affair witha verymarried man. I will not exucse the the restof the the , I think RFK staff, who were at a "little party" w/ no wives allowed and th eBolier Room girls , ,Mary Jo andco. as the ywere called. GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT . Ted was not innocent and MaryJo was not. The rest of the men were not and that is why they have remained quiet. The Boiler Roomgirls never made of in cash from THE REAL STORY EITHER. Mary Jo's family NEVER wrote a book and stuff either. Why? Why expose and real sordid truth,.
Ted was wrong to leave her ,whether she had already drowned or was drowning and he was too drunk to help. The coverup is what was so bad. HE alwys treated Joan like a rug or an invisible person. He has done many ,MANY good things for this i country and the non-richpeople. HE could ahve been better off making millions and stuff in the private sector. I give him credit for that. Give a balanced , fair, report you REPUBLICANS posting HERE!

Every single time I have seen a picture of Ted Kennedy, I have seen Mary Jo Kopechne looking over his shoulder. The Kennedys became jumped-up, rich Irish (and I'm Irish, so no high horses, please) politicos because their daddy was a successful rum-rummer during Prohibition. Otherwise, Ted probably would have been a loud-mouthed Boston bartender or something like that. After all the Kennedys have apparently done to various innocent people, I have no respect for them at all. I don't feel sorry for Ted Kennedy — I feel sorry for poor Mary Jo.

I think fate makes all murderers pay the price in the end. Maybe O.J. will be next to be diagnosed with something deadly and painful that will show him as well that fame is not a good enough reason to be forgiven for murder. Maybe Teddy boy's last vision as he dies will be of Mary Jo Kopeckne's face as he left her to die a watery death and then waited til the next day to report the little "accident."

  23. debbie says – reply to this

My best friend has had one of these for OVER FIVE YEARS - it's a glioma located in his hypothalmus. He helped test the treatment for these brain tumors. Note that I said my friend HAS HAD this tumor (about the size of a golf-ball) for FIVE YEARS. He lived with us during the most intense treatments.

These tumors ARE survivable. I just hope Ted can hold up under the treatment. It's f*cking brutal, but it's worked. For that matter, I hope his family can help him remain positive. My friend always says it's harder on the people around him than himself - he has no choice but to try to keep living; for us, it's the feeling of helplessness that's devastating. Staying positive and telling him he can get through the illness was - and still is some days - the hardest thing I've ever done.

preparing a place for all of Edward's gangster friendz. Love you Mary Jo. Too bad Ed was such a loser wannabe with no real

Poor Teddy - a rapist, a murderer, a drunk, a liar, an uncle who covers up his nephew's rape….sounds like KARMA is a bitch and it's come to bite him in the ass FINALLY. I hope you suffer, Senator Kennedy. I had the pleasure of meeting you at an office holiday party - and I refilled your scotch four times in less than a half hour - of course, publicly - you were no longer drinking. You are a short man with a huge head and probably a very large brain in that mammoth skull. My hope is that this tumor causes you as much pain and suffering as possible in that big head of yours. May the curse of the Kennedy's live on until all of them are GONE. Unfortunately, the innocents of the Kennedy Klan end up paying a price, but it's nice to see Teddy getting his. I will make a special trip to Washington DC to personally SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE then do a little Irish Jig

Why do you even care about this man or for that matter, this family? He got drunk and drove his car, with his mistress inside, off a bridge. Instead of trying to save her, he left her to drown. He's a spoiled fat rich kid. He has all the money in the world, he can afford the best medical treatment and he's basically dying. God is talking….payback is a biotch!

Re: End of the line for Teddy – Dude, I won't stoop to your level of nasty name-calling, which I'm sure you wouldn't do to my face. You're probably one of those cowards that can't really do anything but blog because you're so impotent. You're just upset that the conservative administration in power have ruined our country and they (and YOU by osmosis) have been called out for it and now will be run out of office.
Go ahead and be a hater. You're just showing your ignorance.

In the meantime I'll wish a quick recovery for Senator Kennedy and have hope for the future once more sensible people are leading our country.

Re: tove – I'm quite sure that you'll be able to prove to us all that you've actually traveled to Washington and spit on Senator Kennedy's grave, when he goes. Please be sure to post that picture of your spitting on your myspace page so the world can see what a jerk you are.

Again, people, I'm willing to bet that most of you who are wishing death upon Senator Kennedy are not exactly perfect yourselves.

  40. IMO says – reply to this

    440

Just because he's dying now, doesn't suddenly make him a saint. He needs to take responsibility for Mary Jo Kopechne's death. I think the reports at the time said she stayed alive down there in an air pocket for awhile. (Google it. Meanwhile, where was Ted Kennedy while she was gasping for air in that overturned car at the bottom of the channel? Sorry, but a dog shouldn't die like that, much less a human being.

I find it ironic that the Democrats criticize McCain for his age but when it comes to Ted Kennedy, who is several years older, he is considered to be the epitome of strong vivacious politicians.

Ahh did I hit a nerve, is the best you can do is try to challenge me to say it to your face, what are you fucking "5" yrs old???

This isn't the playground dipshit, and for the record, I'd be more than happy to indulge your bullshit and say it to your "face" but honestly since your head is up your ass, I guess that's going to be difficult. I see a nice big box of chocolate assholes in your future.

How original of you to come on the Perez board and claim to have some dignity, or get on your bleeding heart of sympathy for a drunken, murdering Senator. Your entitled to your opinion, as is everyone else on here is, don't pretend like your above it all.

So I'm happy to have thrown you a nickel and some change, for your little opinion. The facts are you claim Teddy's a great man, and yet nobody yet has listed anything of substance in regards to all of these wonderful things he has done??

Shut the fuck up with your pedantic (oops can't use the big words with you, damn, oh well here's the link to www.dictionary.com) bullshit statements.

Karma can take a while, but it can be a bitch. It is about time he endured the kind of suffering that poor ho Mary Jo went through when his drunk ass left her in the car to drown. I find it very hard to feel any compassion for this worthless waste of humanity.

Re: End of the Line Teddy – Hey, "Teddy", I think I might have hit a nerve with YOU instead. Come on over to Houston and try it, bud. But you, as I said before, are probably too cowardly to try it. And since you haven't the balls to actually come here and find me, please use proper grammar. If anyone needs a dictionary, it's you.
Your impotent anger speaks for itself.
It's so simple to manipulate people like you.
And "Teddy", I really hope you find peace. You seem to be reasonably intelligent, although your ignorance and rage kinda cancel that out. Open your mind a bit. You'll be amazed. There is still time for you to read a book or two and become enlightened. Whatever your thoughts, the First Amendment gives us both the right to air our views here. Be grateful. It's people like Kennedy who have fought to keep that right. Many have tried to supress free speech. Please don't be one of them.
Actually I would be interested to hear your views on religion, freedom of speech, separation of church and state, equal pay for women, domestic violence, segregation, the 2nd Amendment, the Civil Rights movement, etc.
Perhaps you may have something valuable to offer. But you must control your temper first or you'll find no audience.

May the Universe bless the Kennedy family and anyone else who has suffered from this same awful disease.
