How Do We Say This Delicately???

Filed under: Politik > Barack Obama > Hillary Clinton

wenn-hill-barack__opt.jpg

We think it's time for Hillary to drop out of the race.

Yeah, we said it.

The Democratic party has to rally around the candidate the people have chose, and, by now, it's pretty clear who that candidate is.

Oh no, Perez, you drank the damn kool-aid :( Hillary is still WINNING state primaries. How can you say it's time for her to quit??? Hillary, if you're reading this and you really do care about America, stay in this race and only after every last vote has been tallied, only THEN if Obama is ahead should you concede to him. And then you need to run as an independant. Truly, if it hadn't been for the media's blatant bias, you Hillary Clinton would already be the Dem nominee. Hang in there, be strong. Do it for us, Hil!

perez what are you thinking? There are only two weeks left, what kind of loser/quitter would she be if she just gave up now? Clinton's aren't quitters. Let her fight it out like a lady and not let all the millions and millions of people who voted for her down. Stick to Hollywood, stay out of Washington, Perez.

Re: honesty – 6 months?? more like 6 hours…but i truly believe there is no way this country will let itself be manipulated into electing him president. he doesn't belong in this race, and the fact that he's done so well is the result of the liberal biased media in conjuction with scheming, manipulative democratic party politicians whose only thought is to keep a woman out of the whitehouse. They would absolutely not be pushing the obama agenda is hillary was a man. the clear choice when it comes to what's best for our nation and our future is mccain or clinton. obamaramalama will NOT be the next president of the united states. period.

Can we be absolutely blunt? We all know the reason why these delegates seem to side with Obama. It is all about scratching backs on the Hill. These delegates are all basically turning tricks. They know as well as we know Obama has no chance against McCain. Unlike Hilary she is the one who could actually give him a fight. Obama will gain the democratic candidacy but he will will lose big time in the presidential race. All those delegates called in old favors to get him to the top just to bring his ass down. Its the only way they can get McCain in office. Politics is a dirty game, and I'd hate to see what it will look like in the end. Hate to say it all those pro Obama's will be voting McCain because they think like textbooks and not like humans.

I am right with you Brian. Those politicians bought and sold each other for those votes because they knew Obama could not go up against McCain. Only Hilary could defeat McCain. He is their cover up kid, to slip another creep in office.

    515

Re: carla – how can you even compare the two?? no one was even remotely close to the numbers mccain had. obama and hillary are so very close; however, hillary actually has more of the popular vote than obama does, he's only winning because of the stupid setup the democrats are using. if the dems used the same system the republicans do, she would have been declared the winner already. i think it's completely ridiculous at this point, when obama does NOT have the numbers to officially claim the nomination that she be urged to step down for the "good of the party". FUCK. THAT. SHIT. it's just more of the obama-loving media bias trying to pressure her to give him the nomination when she could still end up winning. She needs to stay until the end and let the PEOPLE decide who the nominee will be.

  16. Brenda says – reply to this

    520

You are exactly right Perez the DEMOCRATIC PARTY, meaning pledged delegates 1,953 people to be exact, have chosen Obama, but how about the 17,000,000 people still behind her wanting her to continue and all the more still to come. It is not over yet if Florida and Michigan enter the race the number needed goes to 2,210. So HAVE SOME FAITH, and get your facts straight!!!

  21. The Media Lies says – reply to this

    521

Perez, look into it a little further. The PEOPLE have chosen Hillary. As far as the PEOPLE go, the popular vote…Hillary's gotten it. More actual people have voted for her than Obama. However, our electoral system doesn't always reflect the popular vote, not in a general election and not even with a party's delegates during a race for the nomination.

I think its disgusting that you should say that after claiming so vehemently you don't mind which of them wins eventually, even though your personal preference is towards one or the other, as they are both good candidates. Lets not forget who started favorite in this, how much of a waste would it be to drop out now? A lot of my respect for you as a good humored and generally non-biased person has gone out the window because of this.

    527

Once again, America never fails to utterly stun me with their politics.

For everyone who thought Bush was such a horrible president, at least he had more credentials to his name than Obama. This man has absolutely minimal political experience, and unfortunately, you can't run a country when you've barely done anything to show that you're qualified enough to do so.

America is on the verge of another Depression, and they're going to vote in a guy like that. It's ridiculous. It's quite unfortunate that Hillary is going to lose to him.

  28. Catherine says – reply to this

He is the quiter and a whinning, crying, complainting bitch.

Are you kidding? Maybe Barack HUSSEIN Obama should drop out!! She is the most inspiring Democratic candidate that America has ever seen. No other Democratic candidate in the history of America has had as many people vote for them as Hillary Clinton has. In fact, her presence has bolstered the party and enthused voters of all ages and races. Read the facts and please stay out of making unchecked and irresponsible comments like these.

NOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Write in Hillary in the fall!!!

  40. cyniac says – reply to this

    540

How stupid are you? Have you never seen this process before? It ain't over till it's over. You do not win by a majority of the popular vote or a majority of the deligates' votes. If there is no clear winner by the numbers, they go to the convention and begin taking votes. To suggest that someone give up before all votes are counted is the same fucking stupidity that put W in office almost 8 years ago. Leave the process alone and let it work. ALL the votes need to be counted and all you people trying to jump the gun should get your heads out of your asses and wait for it to be finished. Stoopid is as stoopid does. You should not want to hurry and get this unknown. He has done NOTHING while in office and has only told us what we need, never how he can deliver. He's a smooth talker, not a doer. He has no record nor showed any opinions in his time in office. I could make a lot of good suggestions, but we need someone who knows how to work the system and get things done.

  41. You think of only yourself says – reply to this

    541

Why should any Democrat have to give up THEIR chance to cast THEIR vote for the candidate of their choice? What you, Obama and others ask of the American people is to give up their fundamental right - their voice. It's not about the two candidates - it's ALL ABOUT THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOT CAST THEIR VOTE yet. SHAME on you Perez to deny anyone their voice - you of all people with your bully pulpit should understand that.

  46. True Blue voter in FL says – reply to this

    546

Well its about time you admitted it Perez! And to all you stubborn folks that are still talking about Michigan and Florida just give it up. Obama is clearly the winner and to count states like Michigan where Obama wasn't even on the ballot is not a fair way to win. Suck it up and get behind your party, quit whining and do whats best for your country! McSame will be a more disasterous president than W. and to vote for him out of spite would be harming not only your party but yourself! If you want more war, $10 a gal. gas and an economic collapse vote for McCain it's really that simple folks!

Please sterilize yourself and get out of the gene pool now you moron.

  50. veronica411 says – reply to this

    550

Did you all NOT LEARN ANYTHING FROM KERRY /EDWARDS? Popular votes mean nothing.
In a Democratic nomination it's about Pledged Delegates, and the delgates are awarded by a popular vote formula and varies from state to state. Some states divide the pledged delegates according on who does better in more populated areas, areas that use more resources, etc.
If your mad about the "popular vote thing not counting" , even though it is in an indirect way, contact your local officials and do something about it. Have them change the rules for the next election, its too late to do it for this one.

  52. veronica411 says – reply to this

    552

Re: You think of only yourself – Obama has never asked her to drop out or stop running. As a matter of fact he has stated she should stay in the race as long as she wants. He reached a significant milestone last night, and crossed the pledged delegate threshold. He had every right to celebrate this victory. And he not once said he has won the nomination, he said it is now in reach.

    554

Re: ang – Obama didn't vote againts the war. He's been making a case about not voting FOR it which is actually true since he was absent when the voting took place. Then he told everyone how he didn't know how he would have voted if he had been present and according to Kerry he was somewhat positive about it.

How about checking some facts before jumping to conclusions? Obama didn't vote for the war, neither against it. He wasn't present when the voting took place.

Talk about checking facts. He wasnt even in office when the vote took place! But he did speak at rally's opposing the war vote. And he did try to dissuade senators to vote against it. He says he couldnt say exactly what he would have done because he wasnt given the confidential data and information that the senators were presented when the vote came about. Hillary was given the information and still made the wrong decision.

    564

So, we should give up and support a candidate that CAN'T beat McCain? 50% of Hillary supporters in exit polls in some states are saying they will NOT vote for Obama (and I'm one of those people). And a recent poll showed Obama in a dead heat against McCain, while the same poll showed Hillary beating McCain by 9 points. Hillary is showing us she is NOT a quitter and she'll be the same kind of president who won't throw her hands up and say 'I give up'. I'm not a fairweather supporter—I'll keep contributing (even though its small amounts) and will NOT support someone just because he's a phenomenon and can make a pretty speech—and yet tells us very little about his plans other than he's for "change". Hillary supporters don't give up…support, contribute and believe in her!

Not voting for the first time in my adult life, which bothers me tremendously. But I will say this, I'm disappointed with the Democratic party and with the media's OBVIOUS bias toward Obama. I've never seen such blatent favoritism toward a potential candidate. And whether people want to admit it or not, sexism played into this as well.

Re: chris – She only is ahead of the popular vote if you do Hillary math, if you count Florida and Michigan votes, and leave out the caucus states all together.
If she is so worried about everyones votes counting, why leave out all of the caucus states? Because she lost every one of them, thats why.

  71. obama luv says – reply to this

    571

    from cnn:

Barack Obama took another big step toward becoming the Democratic presidential nominee last night. He now has a majority of the pledged delegates – which means it is now impossible for Hillary Clinton to catch him. He also reminded those superdelegates who remain uncommitted that if they endorse Clinton now, they will be going against the will of the voters.

None of this matters to Hillary Clinton. She’s staying in, telling supporters she’s determined to see every vote counted. She’s $19.5 million in debt, hopelessly behind and probably further damaging the party’s chances in November, but no big deal. This is all about Hillary.

  72. VcKrc says – reply to this

    572

Re: Daryl – Well guess what, if you dont vote, and you are a democrat, you might as well vote for McCain. Stop being a sore loser. The nomination process is tha American way, don't pout becasue your candidate lost. This is about the entire country and its future. Its about the price of gas and the kids getting killed in Iraq. If not for yourself, do it for them. Vote for the only candidate in the general that can beat McCain.

Hell no. If Hil drops out than McCain is the next best qualified and we will lose in the general elecyion. Not many moderate democratics will vote for Obama with his lack of experience, lack of a plan, and questionable judgement and associations. Just because he's a good orator and brings hope is no reason to ignore his scanty resume and unwise associations and leanings to the radical left.

  76. richlost says – reply to this

    576

Seven years after 9-11 and you want a man named Barack Hussein Obama running this country?
Barack's first religion was ISLAM, he attended madarashs in Jakarta because his stepfather was a Muslim.
In Islam, the penalty for leaving the faith is death, not that the Islamofacist murdeous zealots don't want to kill all Americans just for being Americans.
Has the silence from the MiddleEast concerning this election made anyone as uneasy as it has me?
Think of it………… They won't support McCain becaue he's gonna keep the war going, The won't support Hillary, because they could never NEVER submit to the power of a woman, they would rather circumcise her, put her in a burkha, and not allow her to wear deodorant, and if they support Obama, it would make some people rethink their support for him, so he wouldn't win, but why would they want Obama?
Well for one, his name is a Muslim name.
That's just the first step to opening the door for the next 9-11
    Remember……………
That picture of Barack, the only one not saluting the flag?
Or the one where he is wearing the white turban?
His wife never before being proud to be an American?
Barack not kicking Rev Wright to the curb until he saw his numbers slip?
Calling his white Grandmother a "TYPICAL WHITE PERSON"?.
    The Goolsbee NAFTA issue?
Love her or leave her, Hillary is a proven product, no suprises there, and the fact that she will not quit, shows that she will fight hard for what she believes in.

wow. i love you again. I've always said, that as an Obama supporter, if the positions we're reversed, I'd say he should drop out for the same reason. Its time for everyone to team up and fight the psycho war loving gay hating constitution hating republicans that have destroyed our country and fix this mess…and not give them such a head start for Nov!

Obama is a joke. He is eloquent. Period.
Hillary provides years of proof that she is the best candidate. Please keep your opinions to yourself Perez.

Re: worly – OMG, you're an idiot….she was on the board to impeach Nixon,,,,wait were you born yet? She's been involved with child advocacy for decades……helped with 60 percent of that legislation. 35 freaking years of experience, dedicated her life to this work! It's documented, oh wait that takes someone who can read. She didn't get handouts, welfare, assistance……but I bet that most of the racial dynamic for ole Barack Hussein Obama did…..if Hillary is not the name,,,, we'll all vote Mcshame! Read, study, it does a mind good.

Perez you're WRONG! Hillary is only good candidate in this race! Do some Obama research…he's a misogynist, racist, puppet and a Chicago creation!

How could you POSSIBLY suggest we back that moron? Did you sip the punch? Or have you fallen prey to the MSM and Obamabots telling you that Hillary supporters will all "fall in line" like good little children.

Sorry Charlie, too many of us think for ourselves and are not loyal to a party, but loyal to our country. To vote for Obama is careless. We will NOT be getting in line! Her true supporters will continue to fight and if Obama is the nominee we will be voting for McCain or writing Hillary in! The DNC ruined itself and it's time to grow up and think for yourself. If you really want that crackpot Obama running things…..you're out of your mind and clearly haven't done proper research.

    Shame on you.

What a fair-weathered fan Perez! You of all people should know it's not over till it's over! When the pundits were telling you to quit fighting for gay rights, did you? Obviously it ain't over if Hillary's supporters are taking the time to reiterate their support. Go HILLARY!

Last time I come to this sight. Shame on you. And I have stopped all incoming informations from Naral for doing the same thing. No more donations to them. I did the same with Move On. So Now I am giving up you, too. Bad move. I am expressing my dissatisfaction by doing just this. Good Luck in the future. When Bush bombs Iran, I am sure Obama will know just what to do. 2008 - the year of no intelligent choice.

Perez, Hillary's margin of victory in Kentucky was 4x that of Obama's in Oregon. Her strength in swing states outshines Obama's and the official outcomes of Florida and Michigan have yet to be decided until the Rules Committee rules in late May. Hillary should stay in the race, not give up. It's comments like yours and the media that are dividing the party, not her. Obviously she still has a very, very strong base or else she wouldn't be running. Please don't knock on Hillary yet….wait until at least June buddy.
