How Do We Say This Delicately???

Filed under: Politik > Barack Obama > Hillary Clinton

wenn-hill-barack__opt.jpg

We think it's time for Hillary to drop out of the race.

Yeah, we said it.

The Democratic party has to rally around the candidate the people have chose, and, by now, it's pretty clear who that candidate is.

no way! Hillary has won more votes than any other democrat in a primary–she is the only one who could beat a republican–stay in Hill!!!

    603

Sorry, but not all democrats will mindlessly fall behind Obama if he gets the nomination. It has nothing to do with being loyal to the party. It's about being an adult and using your mind to chose the most qualified candidate, and not being a leming and following the others off a cliff. Unfortunately for most of us who support Hil we realize that Obama doesn't represent a qualified choice for president based on the facts, his record, etc. Compared to MCCain who happens to be a moderate republican, Obama's radical left position is downright scary. His lack of experience is apparent in his few, unscripted comments. I want substance in a candidate, not empty rhetoric without any real basis. My vote for president will be for who's best for the country, not the party.

Hillary is a good politician. Personally, I don't care for her, but, with that being said, she does have a lot of good people supporting her. Maybe one day she will be President, it just doesn't look like it is going to be this time. Unfortunately, most of the supposed "supporters" on here are delusional and ridiculous. They throw tantrums because things aren't going their way. They repeat the lies that the Clinton camp is putting out there, such as her leading the popular vote (which isn't true. She is ignoring the votes of the Caucus States in her total), they claim Obama is racist (yet they point out quite often that he is black and has a Muslim middle name, which is racist in and of itself), they claim that Obama can't win the National election, yet he is ahead in every poll (even not partisan ones) out there. They claim that he is sexist, yet there is no credible proof of that. These supposed supporters then go on to insult (or boycot) everyone who disagrees with them. It should be noted, that Obama does have some similar problems with his supporters, but nothing to the degree of what I have seen from the Clinton side of things. Some people need to look long and hard at how they are presenting themselves and lose the hatred for your fellow man. You can disagree with one another, but some of you are really taking this way too far.

  5. Why McCain? says – reply to this

    605

Incredible. Stupidity has proven itself to be worse of a virtue than partisanship.

To the angry Hillary supporters who can't seem to understand how math works in the Democratic Presidential primaries; enlighten me, please. Give me a solid and cohesive reason why you would support Senator John McCain out of spite. Tell me why I should vote for a man who:

Admits to having no idea about the American economy.

Refused to support the new GI Bill.

    Has a shitty health plan.

    Alludes to bombing Iran.

Doesn't know the difference between Sunni and Shiite [in our time of an unjust war].

And is just another extension of Bush, the man who less than thirty (30) percent of Americans approve of.

But something tells me I should know better than to ask the audience of a celebrity gossip blog. I can't help but undermine the fact that we can't be real here.

The Democrats have made their choice. And Hillary does not seem to be it.

    Change, 2008!

  8. Jason says – reply to this

    608

In a recent poll 42% of Hillary Clinton supporters said if Obama is the nominee they will vote for McCain. That should speak volumes. At this point seeing as he will most likely be the nominee and that he has nothing to back up any of his so called "changes" I too will be joining behind McCain. Anything is better than having Obama in office.

Thats bull shit! If the DNC would count the votes of the people of Florida and Michigan Hillary would be the clear winner… so think again the people did choose and thier voices are being silenced. And another thing she should stick it out until the end because thats what a real woman does!

  16. Hillary is more of the same... says – reply to this

    616

I love how some people don't realize that Hil as president would mean two families would have lead this country over the last 20 years….nearly 30 if you count Bush Sr. time as VP….'change'? 'experience'? From Hillary? Hillary has done some impressive things, but that doesn't mean I'd trust her or think she's has anything but her own interests at heart…we now have a 'ruling class' the same damn people have been at the top with their rabid ideas for too long (Cheeney was in the NIXON white house….lordy)

    **************

And as far as Hillary's people jumping ship to McCain…how lame, bitter and vindictive….it's politics, not some lame homecoming nomination…McCain? Really? Does anyone WANT perpetual war?

    *************

I'm not saying Obama's a saint…but the most important thing is he INSPIRES people…it's been a long time since you could say you were inspired by a candidate, not just picking the lesser of two evils…the country needs good vibes from the PEOPLE…the ones who still matter….we are our own rulers….theses guys are all public servants….let's turn this bullshit on it's head. The old folks and the old mentality need to go…sorry…you all had your chance and you fucked this place up….

I would never vote for her if she wins…I'd vote for Mcain if she does!

  19. John says – reply to this

  23. JW says – reply to this

    623

We don't pick a nominee in the primary by popular vote, period. It has always been by DELEGATES. FL and MI violated the rules set by the DNC a long time ago. Obama and Clinton both agreed not to campaign and NOT to count the votes. There were people in both states that understood this and did not go out to vote. The only one that does not seem to comprehend this is Clinton. She wants to change the rules since she has lost. I am sick of her whining about the gender card. She has played the race card against Obama since she realized she would not beable to walk away with this nomination. She is a sore loser and it disgust me as a woman

Re: Flip – Obviously some are blind to the Clinton record on gay rights. Don't ask, don't tell and of course the Defense of Marriage Act which took away hundreds of rights at the federal level (regardless of what the states offer). Hillary stated she would not fully repeal it, Obama would. The Clintons proposed and passed this awful legislation and ran commercials in the South bragging about their commitment to family values.
So glad the Clinton era is over…pander to gays and have them think they are on your side, then turn around to another audience and brag that they are defending marriage between a man and woman only.
Obama has been consistent and is the only candidate in history that speaks of our issues to a mass audience rather than behind closed doors when the mainstream is not looking.
    Good riddance Hillary!

Re: Jason – That 42% you mention, Jason will not do that. Believe it or not, right now people will say anything to try and sway the contest in their candidates favor. Right now it is talk, and nothing more. Sure, there are some Hillary supporters who will go out and vote for McCain. But, for the majority of them, when faced with another 4 years of Bush type policies, they will do the right thing by voting for Obama.

    PEREZ,
I am truly disappointed that you said this! Haven't you seen the exit polls?? Last night, thirty-two percent of voters said that they would vote AGAINST Obama if he was the nominee in the general election. And to be honest, so would I…I don't trust Obama and I don't think that he would make a very good president of the United States (Unfortunately I have to say that I think McCain would be better, even though I don't want another four years of Bush!) Hilary is the way to go. This country needs a woman's touch!
    Shame on you Perez, Shame.

  35. JW says – reply to this

    635

Obama will win the nomination. That is by earning the votes, not cheating. He has won the popular vote, the pledged delegates, more states won and he has more superdelegates in his column. This is only happening because Clinton is whining about losing. Clinton's name has been damaged throughout this race. It is disgraceful to see a past president act like this. As a voter I am upset that they are pandering about the FL & MI votes. They broke the rules and it shouldn't be an issue. Someone mentioned Obama paster problem, well
McCain has a HUGE paster problem, several actually: Hagee, Robertson,Falwell, Parsley. They have not been talked about too much in the media but this will be something to watch for in the General. Hagee called catholics THE GREAT WHORE! I would think that would upset catholics a tad, call me crazy. McCain signed on to the torture bill and voted against the GI BILL. Lobbyist run his campaign. He has nine homes with his second wife Cindy and they have BILLIONS. But McCain can relate to the normal working class voter, yeah right!!

Read, go on realclearpolitics.com and read. Go on other sites, pick up a newspaper and READ. Hillary has not won the most of ANYTHING. It is called pandering, and she is good at it. She counts on people not being informed about the issues.
Again, all you Insane McCain voters: Please find the nearest Military Recruitment office and ENLIST. He will end up drafting you because our military is broken right NOW. If you are within age limits (that has been moved up greatly so I am sure you all will qualify) and can breathe they will take you! Don't let other kids die because you are ill informed and stupid. No, the "democratic party" will not rally behind BO because he is not the nominee! Since when does Perez Hilton determine the nominee!?! The facts are these: it's a 50/50 split in terms of who people voted for. As such, this should go to the convention!

How old are you guys on this site on average? I mean I have kids that are smarter than you guys by far. Jesus atleast READ about the issues.
One girl on here keeps saying "she won the popular vote", no actually she has not. Hillary has won NOTHING. Obama has the lead in every MATH she can come up with. They don't understand about FL & MI and rules and both Obama and Clinton agreeing not to count the votes. They don't understand that a vote for McCain means WAR and DYING. It is really sickening!! WOW MUZZA: Fact check, there is no 50/50 here! Obama has won more states, more superdelegates, more pledged delegates, the popular vote, every MATH that is possible Obama comes out on top. You need to be informed if that is not beyond your reasoning. The democratic party has always picked the nominee for the PRIMARY with DELEGATES, not any other MATH that Clinton would like you to think about. In the GENERAL election we go by popular votes and electoral votes!!
Being a woman , I find it really disgusting that there are some women on here that will vote for her without any knowledge about her at all. She will try every trick to win, dirty or not. You need to come into reality, if not it will be brought to you after the last primary. Don't freak out people. Just try to be informed ahead of time. Try using your mind once in awhile!!! Perez,

Why do you hate women so much? Seriously, you point out our every physical flaw and jump all over a bad photograph. Have you ever picked up a book? Ever bothered to learn anything about history? Did you read Hilary's autobiography? Are you aware of what she's actually accomplished in politics (and I mean before Bill)? Maybe you have done all these things and are super smart and just play dumb. Maybe, I guess… But I do give you credit for figuring out a way to make a ton of money off bad photos, the term "vagina pit," and the exploitation of anyone at all costs. Hey, if it's a bad angle and someone snaps a shot, no reason to not put that photo up and make some money off it, right?? What a sweet deal you have.

Invest your money, save it. You'll need it when your fifteen minutes are over. History's not going to look back at you and think you were a positive influence on the world and a remarkable contributor to the betterment of society. You're just greedy, disrespectful and egotistical. I'm so over the attitude.

    Sleep well, fat ass.

YOU KNOW VOTES, AS IN MORE PEOPLE HAVE VOTED FOR HER THAN ANY OTHER DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE IN ANY PRIMARY ELECTION IN HISTORY. PRETTY PATHETIC. She shouldn't drop out she's making a statement for staying in the race giving everyone the opportunity to vote. With the extreme interest in this election its good that she is keeping everyone interested. Its only going to bring more positive press for the democrats… bringing more people to our side.

    Obama/Clinton '08…

HILLARY WILL WIN IN THE END…THE MEDIA IS PUSHING THIS GUY SO THE DEMS CAN LOSE TO JOHN McCAIN AS IF OBAMA WINS HILLARYS PEOPLE WILL NOT VOTE FOR HIM THIS IS A SHAME

    679

Thank you, Perez! I truly think they are both excellent candidates, but I simply can't support Hillary for one reason. She claims to be an example to young women across the nation for her accomplishments, but all she is to me is a woman who didn't have the backbone to divorce her husband who publicly cheated on her multiple times. She's as power hungry as all of the people in the White House right now.

    Too bad Hillary hasn't

    682

Seriously Perez?!? I question your commitment to Hillary. Were you ever truly a supporter? Are turning your back on her because all the major media venues that hold your future paycheck(s) support Obama??? Hopefully you’re not just selling yourself out to the mainstream media. I am honestly disappointed to see you jump ship. As a republican that supported Hillary over McCain it is sad to witness the stronghold that the mainstream media hold over the Democratic Party.

  83. Lauren says – reply to this

    683

Wow. I disagree. Immensely. Sad to see you give up.

  84. Keli says – reply to this

    684

Yea, there is way too much of a gap now for her to catch up. Hilary will not pass him in the delegate count…period. Obama for President, Hilary for Vice President!!!!!!!

  85. LisaInGreeley says – reply to this

    685

Perez, dont be a fucking idiot.

Pay attention, the media is fabricating her need to drop out.

I didn't think you were THAT big of a tool 'Ezzy!

  86. Laura Swanson says – reply to this

    686

Perez how dare you??? I liked you for your political views and your support of Hillary, but now, I will no longer visit your site. Hillary absolutely should continue her efforts in the race for the presidency–she is doing it for women, and I support her 100%. If Hillary doesn't get the bid, I am not sure if I can vote for Obama.

  87. Urzi says – reply to this

    687

Wow. I am shocked! You switched your position! Thank you!

It's time for this arrogant bully named Hillary to quit. She can't always have her way! I don't want another president forced down my throat!

PEREZ, YOU ARE A DISGRACE!!! I am a gay woman and I do not trust Obama. I am a loyalist and I wil stick with Hill until the end!!! BTW, I WILL NEVER vote for OBAMA!

  91. neena says – reply to this

    691

Yeah, because the ill-experienced child "elected" int he last two elections wasn't bad enough - we need a different bad tempered, poor choice making, whiny, inexperienced child in office. Use your brains folks and stop being lemmings to the media.

Hillary is the right choice. No more children in the Oval office!

  92. tyler says – reply to this

    692

fYou very dumb large man.Clinton is smarter and more experienced than anyone in this race so stop the hating and get on board the Hil!ary train into the next milestone of this awsome country on this even more awsome planet EARTH!

  93. jojie says – reply to this

    693

Perez, and all people: Hillary has the majority of the popular vote of this country. Yes, the people have spoken, and they have chosen her. Please rescind your statement Perez - it's inaccurate and irresponsible.

  94. Tracy says – reply to this

    694

If MI and FL are counted, she has more popular vote.

Beyond that, she's been GAINING momentum. In the beginning, everyone thought, "Oh, she's a bitch, go Obama!" then got educated about him and stopped blindly following him. She has been beating him recently. Americans have changed their minds. We're allowed to do so. After all, we voted Bush into office and now want him out.

Dems used to be more for Obama. Now, I think it has truly shifted to Hillary.

  95. Ellie says – reply to this

    695

WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? All those lame articles on you being such a powerful blogger are kickin' in your ego, aren't they?
Telling Hillary to drop out, telling us what music to listen to (as if you had decent musical taste to begin with), telling Kate Moss to retire and Pete Doherty to die… as if you are somehow superior. You are JUST a lucky guy without personality, who needed a well-known name to copy and a ridiculous dyeing to get some cheap fame.
I used to like your site, now I know it's full of shitty old news and self-whoring. Can't wait till your 15 minutes are up, cuz you don't deserve that much attention just for posting other people's articles and writing about stuff you know nothing about.

    YES WE CAN!!!

  98. Fairfa says – reply to this

    698

That would be terrible for the party - you obviously need to focus elsewhere. We're gays, we're fighters, too - and she's the only one that respects us. Plus, she keep picking up delegates. PR is gonna be a landslide, too.

And she's not a sexist, racist snob.

I'm pretty beyond disgusted with you right now, perez.

  99. Fairfa says – reply to this

    699

You need to apologize for this one, Perez. The only reason they're calling for her to drop out is because the next few weeks is supposed to be really, REALLY good for her.

Don't write shit you don't know about.

If you support Hillary, stick with her. If you don't understand politics, don't dabble.

Asshole. And to think I read this stupid blog every day. No more.

Amen to that. She should have done it ages ago but she ( and hubby in tow) is THE most power hungry female in the world and will not let go. US needs someone like Obama to breathe fresh air into it putrefied lungs. Not another corrupt old corporation crsuty of the old guard.
