WHO WON?! I didn't watch it so will all you fools stop saying who you THOUGHT should've won or who YOU voted for?! NOBODY CARES, just freakin tell me WHO ACTUALLY WON!!!
Why all the praise for Cook? David Archuleta kicked his ass vocally and connecting with the audience. We already have a Chris Daughtry (am I the only one that's sick of hearing the same song with different lyrics from Daughtry?) Ooooh, badass, rocker Cook (same voice and consistency as any other "rock" guy). Archuleta is different. I was wondering how Archuleta would fit in the music scene, and didn't know how, but realized, that's why he's there! That's what american idol's about. Replace Cook's head in a Daughtry video: "THE SAME".
Archuleta will win and totally deserves it. I was at the taping today and he completely outperformed Cook in every way. Amazing kid!!!

David A will win. Simon is the most influencial judge and he was partial to David C before, but today he didn't impress anybody. Was it his voice failing him?
David A showed more consistency all through the competition and has more personality than Cook, in my opinion. The ballads are his forte. Who knows, maybe he will be the next Michael Buble.
As far as voices, today David A was best.
Cook is like a Chris Daughtry imitator. He comes out as cocky in the beginning but he seems to have "changed" into a "very nice guy". Doh!

archie is so boring. yes, he may have done better overall tonight, but every song sounded the same! i can't pick out a song that he's done over this whole season (except for imagine because he did it tonight - oh and that "you're the voice" song) because every song sounds exactly the same. at least tonight dc showed that he can be versatile and sing many different types of music. regardless of who wins, cook will sell more records than archie because what type of music will archie sing (with you??? HAHA)? cook can sing so many types of music; he will be like daughtry: best selling artist of 2009!
I like David Cook so much more than David Archuleta, but David A. will win for sure..Which is going to turn out WAY better for David C. because he'll be able to get a record contract on HIS terms, instead of having to do whatever the AI people tell him to do..

it's so sickening to see how this show has marketed david a all season, the ass always looks likes he's going to cry, please he won star search at the age of 12, has been on tv shows, and has done so many performances, he's a bad actor trying to make everyone believe that this is so new to him, and notice they had him sing all ballads, it's so fixed, so all the young ones go crazy for the puppy style songs, when they casted him this year, they knew as well as he did that he will be the next idol, i mean come on now how much luck can one person have in his first 17 years of life, gets on star search and wins, then gets through 50,000 other try outs for idol and makes it to the finals, his agent did a great job. he is so fake claims he has never done the certain songs he does, then past videos that are out there shows him performing them at other shows. can u tell i hate the kid and the show and that is why i don't watch it, i just listen to what all are saying and can't belive people think this is for real. all have a great nite. the only winners would be us if the show was not on anymore……

They were both awful. Archuleta sings like kermit the frog and Cook is just plain weak. Really, really bad. This show was a complete joke this season once Michael Johns got voted off. Michael Johns is amazing and the only one worth watching.

David Cook knew he was going to lose after he lost the coin toss and Archuleta chose to go last. Almost every winner who has sang last, won AI. It didn't matter what he sang, Randy, Paula, and Simon were going to felate David A. anyway so he decided to sing the song HE wanted to sing. He was making a potential album. David A. may have won the battle, but David C. will win the war in the end.

The judges seemed to be favoring David A - kind of setting him up to win. I thought David C did better than they said - but David A did win the night.

I called it two weeks ago, but that doesn't mean I'm happy about it. David Cook should have won. But it's probably better this way. Now he's not tied down to the Idol contract and is free to grow as an artist like Daughtrey did.

David Cook is a good singer but he sounds the same in all his songs. It's not a bad thing, he just has a rocker's voice and he will be a great rockstar! But David Archuleta has the ability to sing different melodies in different genres and give a feel to it. That's what American Idol is looking for. David Archuleta is really talented, he sings old songs really well and not many people can pull that off and sound good like him. Like Randy said, if he can sing, he can sing anything. And the boy can really sing! It sucks that some people don't like David Archuleta but I think they do realize he can sing. So why not just say you think he can sing but you just don't like him? It's obvious he's talented, I just wish people would be more mature and be more considerate and respectful on what they say and how they say it.
American Idol always chooses goobers, so sadly, the A.I. title will probably go to David Archuleta.
