David Cook annoys the hell out of me… he is so smug and no one sees it but me. Yeah he has a great voice, but personality is good too and he just seems like an ass.
I'm really close with one of the top 10 and they said David Cook was really a Diva off camera. LAME!
I'm all for David Cook. Not only does he have a pure voice, but he is cute and marketable.
We do not need another Daughtry thank you very much. He is already kicking ass!

David Cook should win but David Archuleta will most likely win. They are both deserving, but I think David Cook has the edge. Archie has a bit of growing up to do yet, Cook is ready to go, his passion is oustanding. Gogo David Cook!
I don't understand how anyone can vote for David Cook no matter what if both Randy and Simon said he should win…they were there..they know lmao! David A has been the most consistent and the best this season…I've watched every episode for the last 7 seasons trust me I would know! Randy has had a boner for DA all season and if I had to hear him say "yo, dawg, you could sing the phone book" one more time I though I would puke in my mouth. The judges as well have just sucked him off right there on the stage. Calling last night a knockout was BULLSHIT. Sorry, but that kid's a twerp and DC is a rocker with real talent and style, not just a voice. It is a tremendous voice, way more than most people could ever dream of, for sure, but DC is the whole package.

I thought David Cook's rendition of the U2 song was AMAZING and far better than DA's song. He was fucking magic. I think he showed much mroe range and I dig the rock far more than the mellow stuff. If judging on vocal talent alone, it would be a draw. Both have been blessed, but if taking everything ino consideration - David Cook is a complete "ENTERTAINER" and a perfect "spokes model" for American Idol. Cook is the complete package.

David Cook is the american idol. it is evident that he has a personality and charm AND IS TALENTED. On the other hand, people are casting votes for archie who is just a pop-y singer who tries to hard and only sings slow ballads which made him look 50 years older. archie is so boring, i have no idea why people actually like him. he killed "with you" by chris brown, and made it look very ugly and bad. archie sayng "my boo" makes me sick.

Both of them can sing but all David A can sing are ballads. Cook has shown he can sing any song and that he is ready for a career. I can easily immagine hearing Cook on the radio. The finales are never fair - you have to sing some power ballad or song about achieving your dream in a belty voice to impress at the finale - rockers can't compete in that form….David Cook is by far the best artist - the most original and creative - David A is a total tool that only tween chicks and moms like, but unfortch - they are the ones voting. I thought the judges and host showed a ton of bias - FOR A. and against C. All the judges' comments were swooning over A. Then, before the last song, Seacrest says .."Ladies and Gentlement .. Imagine!" very dramatically. He didn't introduce Cook's song, just his name. Bah. I like Cook better, but I'm not a 12 year old girl.

I think David A. and David C. both did well. Cook seemed to hold back, as another person noted. I believe that was intentional. I do not think Cook wants to win American Idol. He is probably scared he may win, and that would not be beneficial to his career (as noted previously…Fantasia, Ruben and even Jordan to some degree) I think he would do much better going the route of Chris Daughtry and others, who did not win AI but capitalized on the moment of fame to do things their way and not be signed in to a deal, with little decision power left to them. I think David is hoping like hell he doesn't win.
I also think, there is the possibility that AI knows this, and either helped him along, OR hoping their overwhelming majority for DA, upsets voters enough that they vote DC.
In the end, it is a business and a game. So there is a lot going on underneath too.
I thought David Cook's performances were great…he showed he can do a variety of songs, unlike the little David. He stood there FOR ALL THREE songs which sounded EXACTLY the same.
The judges shouldn't be so obvious on who they want to win…Randy should get some new lines instead of "you could sing the phone book." Oh, and Randy, it's 2008, not 2007!! For all the money you are making sitting on your butt, you might want to get with the times.

Though David Archuletta is an excellent singer, he's not that great of a performer. After awhile, all his songs sound the same to me!! He doesn't know how to sing anything other than ballads!!! David Cook is very charismatic and I would definately buy his CD; however, I would NOT buy David Archuletta's CD. It's clear to me that Idol producers WANT David Archuletta to win (for whatever reason) and the judges are trying to influence the votes by really playing him up.
