There's a new Disney teen star in the making, and her name is Demi Lovato.
Demi, 15, is appearing in the upcoming Disney movie Camp Rock, starring alongside the Jonas Brothers.

Plus, it's just been announced that….
She's getting her own show on the Disney channel!
The program will be called Welcome to Mollywood.
So could she be the next Hilary Duff, Raven Simone, or Miley Cyrus?
Perhaps. Lovato is also an actor, a singer and she can dance as well.
The series will center on Molly, a 15 year-old from a small town who wins a role on a teen comedy TV show after competing on a nationwide search.
So it'll be like a show within a show. How reflexive!
Lovato also has a recording contract with Disney's Hollywood Records. Oh yea, and she's also set to go on tour with the Jonas Bros this summer.
Gary Marsh, president of entertainment at Disney Channels Worldwide, says, "This series is rooted in one of the core thematic attributes that we stand for, which is following your dream. There also was the opportunity to do a hybrid show."

I don't think this girl is "the new miley" at all…..I just watched a vid of her doing a concert and the girl has no stage presence at all, I mean she has a good voice, but so do a lot of people. Miley is a good singer, not WOW or anything, but she has something about her that commands attention and Demi looks lost on stage.
The thing about miley is that there is something about her that makes people either love her or hate her, but either way they know who she is and keep up with news and stuff about her. Demi is the type of person who people are like "ya i like her whatever" but nothing more or less, which to me doesn't make a star.
me and all my friends really can't stand her.. i know she's friends with JB sooo she's gonna get somewhere.. she can sing but she's annoying and we don't find her pretty at all

The Jonas Brothers werent even in Disney when thier first cd was out. They would still be as popular with out disney.
