We mentioned previously that Nick Hogan is having "troubles" adjusting to prison life.

Real prison's nothing like the 'prison' of a comatose state and nursing home care that he sentenced his friend to through his reckless driving - just sayin'.
Well, today, a Florida radio station played some of the calls Nick's been making to his mommy, crying on the phone to her.
Here's a transcript of one those conversations:
Nick Bollea: "Had I known this, I would have rather gone to trial or I would rather, you know, appeal the case or something. I can't deal with this for eight months. It's like the size of my bathroom."
Linda Bollea: "Oh!"
Nick: "No windows or nothing. Just one little top bed thing."
Linda: "Oh my God!"
Nick: "All you do is sit there and think, and there's nothing to think about."
Linda: "We'll get through it."
Nick: "Yeah."
Linda: "Prove to everyone you've learned your lesson and be more careful."

Yes, Nick deserves to pay for what he did. He not only broke the law, but seriously injured someone doing it. BUT…..Everyone needs to quit acting like John is innocent in all of this. If you think that John hasn't raced that same car before with or without Nick in the passenger seat, you're fucking crazy. I'm sorry, but too many people make it sound like John was in the passenger seat screaming for Nick to slow down, when in actuallity, he was there of his own accord and most likely had no problem with Nick racing.
It's very tragic and sad that his life will never be the same, but seriously, it could just as easily have been John in the drivers seat and Nick in the Passengers seat.

Why do people keep saying "spoiled little rich kids don't understand what prison is like"? What, only poor people or non-celebrities understand? I'm not famous and never been to prison so I wouldn't understand what it would really be like. All I would know is what I see on TV shows and movies but even those aren't completely true to life. If god forbid I ever were to go one day I wouldn't expect it to be a walk in the park and would probably be complaining about it too. What am I going to say: "Oh jail was so fun today. We learned Michael Jackson's Thriller and taped it and going to put it on YouTube soon." For all you people who've never been to jail and passing judgement saying he should "take it like a man," I'd like to see you spend a week there and see how great it is for you.
I really hope they don't let him out early, if he really feels that he has nothing to think about then he has problems…. He needs to sit back and think about what he did to this guy…. A) He is not in prison, he is in County Jail. His lawyer made sure any time spent -if any- was spent in County and not a state prison. B) Any of us "regular folk" that wouldve been in this same situation would have been sentenced so that the punishment fit the crime… ie.. more towards the 5 year MAX rather than a slap on the wrist of 8 months. C) He is not even trying to hide his "sense of entitlement" that he feels. Nor is his pathetic family that seems to think that just because this young man spent time away from his family and spent time with theirs, that it is somehow not as painful for his family. i watched the sentencing stream live….. and there was no remorse or sympathy shown to this MARINES family in the courtroom by "the hogans"…. It was actually hard for me to watch. and i think this little punk deserves every last day of his 8 month slap-on-the-wrist….and then some…
For everyone saying he should be thinking about his friend and his friend's family and how he ruined so many lives…I'm sure Nick is constantly thinking about all that (and his parents' divorce and other sad things in his life), but those sad things are probably not what he wants to only be thinking about. And constantly thinking about it isn't going to help things. It's not going to make his friend better. It's not going to fix his parents' marriage. Nick shouldn't have been driving drunk..obviously.. but at the end of the day it was his friends choice to get into the car with him. It was also his choice not to put on his seatbelt.
