We mentioned previously that Nick Hogan is having "troubles" adjusting to prison life.
Little bitch Hogan's so annoying!
Real prison's nothing like the 'prison' of a comatose state and nursing home care that he sentenced his friend to through his reckless driving - just sayin'.
Well, today, a Florida radio station played some of the calls Nick's been making to his mommy, crying on the phone to her.
Here's a transcript of one those conversations:
Nick Bollea: "Had I known this, I would have rather gone to trial or I would rather, you know, appeal the case or something. I can't deal with this for eight months. It's like the size of my bathroom."
Linda Bollea: "Oh!"
Nick: "No windows or nothing. Just one little top bed thing."
Linda: "Oh my God!"
Nick: "All you do is sit there and think, and there's nothing to think about."
Linda: "We'll get through it."
Nick: "Yeah."
Linda: "Prove to everyone you've learned your lesson and be more careful."

Let's say they are broad sided by someone who runs a red light, the car rolls, John is ejected b/c he was not buckled in. No responsibility there either hey? It was a horrible thing that he did, but he is 17 and we all have made stupid decisions in our teens. Yes, it is sad that his friend is comatose, but he got in the car at the age of 22 and was not wearing a seatbelt. Nick Bollea is not the only one to blame and he will have to live the rest of his life knowing that his best friend is brain dead. Whoever leaked this phone call is cruel and heartless. This is a 17 year old CHILD that made a mistake and at 17, I would have been crying and doing the same thing!
That sounds like Lynda Hogan actually has a clue. He needs to sit and think and get to the place where he realizes from this point on with regard to redemption for this tragedy he will be talking the talk and walking the walk for the rest of his life.

I can almost tell u for sure that John was whoopin and hollerin' during the race and they have done it before. I have been the passenger myself before. I think John knew the risks and was not forced to be in that car and was enjoying the race until the unfortunate part. Nick should do time for his part, no doubt but people need to stop making it sound like John was forced to be there and had no clue that a race could break out. If u think that then you are extremely naive.

Re: agent smith – I think that as parents just as you would lock the liquor cabinet, you should lock your garages with your high power cars and boats. Better yet get rid of them when you have kids in that age group. Police need to crack down on the road racing. It doesn't take a genius to figure out who these racers are. I don't understand why police can figure out and rationalize a hundred different reasons why not to go after this problem.
Case in point. Nick had previous speeding tickets. TAKE HIS LICENSE AWAY.
In Canada when you get your license at 16 you are only licensed to drive during the day and not on busy roads…then they go from there. A 17 year old that has speeding tickets is an automatic suspension. The law needs to protect these people from themselves and others. A 17 year old cannot possibly consider the risk when they choose to do an impulisive speed undertaking. Police are in a position where they do and should crack down. Florida is a busy place. Filled with a lot of elderly drivers etc. Legislation needs to be stricter.

The whole point in being put in prison with nothing to do is to make you think about what you have done, the severity of it etc…

Your argument leaves much to be desired, and quite a few holes. Since you prefer to work in comparisons, try this on for size.
If you and a friend walk into a 7-11 and you steal a candy bar and get caught. Your friend is considered an accomplice to the crime.
You argue that "blah blah blah, just like politics, and blah blah blah, nobody takes responsibility for their actions" yet you are only arguing against yourself. Nick is taking responsibility for his actions, he is serving time, and he will be the one spending the rest of his life wishing he could change that one day that took away his best friend. John had no issues with racing, had done it himself, and obviously did not feel threatened by Nick's speed as he chose NOT to wear a seatbelt. As the OG's would say "Live by the gun, die by the gun", "Live by the race, die by the race".
It could just as easily be Nick in a coma and John in jail right now. The fact is, they BOTH FUCT UP, and they are both paying very HIGH but seperate prices for it now.
He is being kept separate from the other inmates they say because he is a juvenile but I know some 17 year olds that were put in with the general population in the Pinellas County jail. He gets special work details. His parents when they visit him, do not stand in line with everyone else going in to visit, they are let in a different door by a guard. more special treatment for this spoiled kid and his parents. Nick did not want to finish high school so he wasn't made to, he wanted to race drift cars, ok his dad arranged it, he wanted to built a fast car to race around on Clearwater and Miami streets and was allowed to. I guess drinking and driving were ok the day of the wreck as well. This kid needs a reality check and not a reality tv series on cable tv. He has only spent 3 weeks in jail and will probably only have to serve 3 or 4 months with good behavior. Certainly doesn't seem fair since John will spend the rest of his life (however long that will be) in a coma.

I really think the United States prison system needs to be reformed (especially in terms of sending drug users to jail), but this is one instance where I'm hard-pressed to feel too much sympathy.
