Several of the original cast of members of 90210 are starting to jump on board The W's new spinoff.
There's still no official confirmation (or denial), though, on whether or not Shannen Doherty will return.
She MUST!!!!!!!!
However, Full House alum and 90210 (2.0) cast memeber Lori Loughlin does give some insight as to how the cast feels about Doherty.
Loughlin says in regard to Doherty returning, “I don't think Shannen will. I don't think anyone wants to touch that.”

As for Tori Spelling, she's been trying to get on the show for a while, though with her second child soon on it's way, she might have to wait a bit.
Of Tori, Loughlin says, “I think they are waiting for her to have her baby and then they're going to - there's definitely a role for her though in the pilot, like a small little cameo thing which will be fun. But, then I think they'll have her back.”

As for Luke Perry returning, Loughlin says she's not certain but has just heard some "rumblings" about it.
Loughlin continues, “I'm so excited. I've seen a script. It's good. I really like it. It's definitely the contemporary 90210. It's touching on what teenagers are going through now-a-days, which is a little bit - I don't want to say faster, but they are definitely exposed to more at this time. Kids today, they have a lot to handle. They grow up so fast.”
The show is set to start production on June 25th.
Let's keep hoping it doesn't suck!

OMFG I used to love Brenda. She was my fave cuz she used to rep for us brunnette girls who take no shit. That was my bich right there. I used to wear the DYLAN AND BRENDA t-shirt. If they brought back DYLAN AND BRENDA as a couple with kids and finally let the soulmates be together I wud be so happy! I have been waiting for like 20 years for a reunion for those two!
Also, I think the haters need to stop. That was 20 years ago. She is an adult now and she seems nice from her interviews. If Holly Marie Combs and Sarah Michelle Gellar are her best friends then I say she can't be bad. I am really dissapointed that the stars of the show and producers don't even bother to bring her back yet bring the two boring blondes who never helped ratings to begin with come one. I mean who tuned in for Donna and Kelly? No one. They always had to bring another cast member in to save ratings. What are they thinking? Not caring about your fans opinions is not a good look 90210. Brenda was actually the best character on the show and she was loyal and always helped people. She wasn't a slut like Kelly, wasn't virgin Mary like Donna, she was just the right mix of innocence and spice.

I think having Shannon back as a "guest star" would be amazing! I'm not sure she would fit into a regular role, but I'd love to see her come back as a bitchy mother of a student who gets called into the principals office, and she has to come face to face with a character from the original… Ratings would be HUGE!!!! If the show is smart, they'll remember to focus on both the adults and the kids like they do on the great Canadian series DEGRASSI!!!!
