Marcia Cross debuted a startling new look on Friday.
The Desperate Housewives star, a lifelong red-head, was seen leaving the Ken Paves salon in Beverly Hills with a darker, brunette do.

It's obviously a wig, but it looks fantastic! It makes her look chic, and much younger. Marcia should seriously consider a new do similar to the one she is sporting in this picture. She should layer her current locks, and get low lights. Long side swept bangs in auburn would be a great look for her. I think it would help producers see her in a new and more versatile light for future roles. Honestly, her "hot" red hair looks overly processed and plastic. It reminds me of Nicole Kidman - and this is not a good thing. Keeping it fresh and new keeps you noticed.

Not that I DON'T like it. I just think she looks fierce with the red hair… especially with her gorgeous pale skin and those green eyes. I suspect it's shorter because of the babies. But as for the color, let's hope it's a passing phase or for a new role.
