If they have spent more than a full week in each others company since the day they met I will be amazed. No-one on this earth could stand her for more than quickie bursts at a time. Things haven't looked good for them for a couple of years now–Madonna is such a control freak, I bet Richie is so over all that and tired of Madge's constant griping. Well, I happen to believe the rumors have some validity. I mean, look at the facts:
1) He did not appear at key events to support her (induction to R&R Hall of Fame)
2) Her new CD is loaded with songs about relationships going bad (Miles Away, She's Not Me, Devil Wouldn't Recognize You, Voice)
3) He is not even trying to smile in any photo from Cannes
4) He is spending a vast amount of time away from her
On top of all that, she is about to embark on a world tour that continues through the late fall — for the first time in seven years.
I have a gut feeling that they will stay together through the end of the year (for David's adoption sake), and then she will return to New York with the kids.
Luckily for her music fans, she is far better when she goes through those dark moments when she is unfulfilled and searching for something new.

I hope not, they have kids. Divorce is always messy when you have kids. They should try to keep it together, what is life anyway without family? For the sake of the children they should go to every length to stay together. The only time I would say get out quick is when one spouse is a serial cheater or there is physical or emotional abuse involved. Otherwise, when you have kids, especially little kids, you should try to work things out.

Believe it or not, celebs are actually living, breathing, feeling human beings. There is definitely tension. He held onto her at Cannes but I have seen no photos where she is reciprocating. In all photos I have seen her arms are down while his are on her. To say that this is just Madonna would be incorrect as she had no problem being affectionate with Sharon Stone.
I hope they aren't going to separate though. As free spirited as Madonna has always been, it is also nice to know she has been in a secure relationship for this long. Married people do not view one another as family any longer and that is a huge problem. I would like to think that at 50 I am in a committed relationship with somone I can grow old with and recount the memories alongside. It also puts her in more of a respectable matriarch position which is appropriate at this age.
I truely hope her recent work with younger musicians doesn;t send her into a downward spiral that she misinterprets as freedom when in fatcits insecurity at its finest…yes, a mid-life crisis.
