We mentioned yesterday that Oprah Winfrey's ratings and magazine readership is sliding and that Ellen is hot on her tail for the top chat spot.
Well, there's more to take into account!
Looks like O's Emmy nominations were on the decline this year, too.
Oprah nabbed three nominations — all technical noms (lighting, sound, video control).
Ellen, on the other hand, received eight noms, including nominations for Best Talk Show Host and Outstanding Talk Show.
Ellen is the new queen of chat!
Update: Apparently Oprah didn't submit her name for consideration, hence she's not eligible.

Good for Ellen! She is awesome! Oprah on the other hand, her reign is over… finally! She has no one to blame but herself, she turned into any other hollywood star and forgot to focus on the people that made her who she is. Women took her to the top, and she turned her back on them by endorsing Obama.

Well, her dick sucking fest with Tom Cruise really did it for me. Plus, she screams toooooo much on her show. Ellen, on the other hand, is MUCH funnier and more natural.
It wasn't about race until she made it about race. Oprah was a woman who dealt with issues about women- race wasn't her platform. Then a biracial man appears, and without her knowing much more than THAT, she craps on ALL the women. She should have stayed OUT of politics. When you pick a politican (are YOU listening Perez) you will alienate anyone who doesn't like that politican. Oprah is NOT a political comentator-but she tried to be one. But she thinks she is God, because her advisors have to kiss her ass to keep their job. Just like celebrities all over. She is gullible and easily used. I have never understood why her audience, which is 95% white women, listens to her when she is so easily misguided.

I remember about 10 years ago, Rosie O'Donnell and Oprah tied for best host. Then the following year, Rosie won it outright, eventhough Oprah was also nominated. I remember that Oprah had tears in her eyes when Rosie won, but I think she was crying because she lost. The following year, Oprah took her name out because, I think, she cannot stand to lose. During other awards shows, Oprah has been nominated, but Ellen has beaten her also. So she will probably take herself out of every award show she has lost because she wants to appear to be number one.
