After a process that has spanned over two years…
A Malawai court on Wednesday finally approved Madonna's adoption of little David.
She's his mommy - for good!
A lawyer for her Madgesty has released a statement, saying, "We are very happy with what the judge has ruled. It is a positive and beautiful judgment that will have an impact on Malawi's adoption laws."
The adoption has been very controversial, with critics accusing the government of skirting laws that ban non-residents from adopting children in Malawi, which has been badly hit by an AIDS epidemic that has left more than 1 million orphans.
Many people and groups opposed the adoption, but in the end, even David's biological father wanted Madonna to be able to legally care for the child.

To anyone who says she bought a kid and had an advantage because of who she is should really do their homework. It took her over two years to have the adoption finalized, something that happens with everyone. Did you ever hear anything about Angelina's adoptions? Never a peep about the process, makes you wonder who actually "bought" their child. And, I'm sorry, but adopting a child for publicity or because it's in fashion? People who do things for publicity have short attention spans and I strongly doubt they'd wait for two years over something they'd be over with in five minutes.

1) I DO know a bit about Madonna's struggle to adopt David because adoption requirements are similar world wide (background investigations, financial affidavits, references, applications, court proceedings, misc. paperwork). Wait, do you need me to define any of these word for you dear? 2) Wow, you are so right, David's father is alive and kicking…He kicked him right into an orphanage! You curiously choose to ignore the fact that he knew David would have greater opportunities with Madonna around the world than in an orphanage - and he wants this better life for David.
Let us be honest here, we don't know Madonna so we're in no position to question her intentions. I was speaking to the difficulties of adoption, with all of its hoop jumping, and that no one would put themselves through it with anything other than altruistic intentions. –You're just someone who dislikes Madonna and can't see the good in the situation. So sad. Now David will never see his biological father again. It's a sad, sad world when a man has to give his child up because he can't afford to raise him. Then an oppurtunistic mega-rich, ego inflated celebrity goes shopping for a human accessory and picks the cutest one she can find, never mind the fact that he already HAS a father. Yes, he gave David up, because that was the only way David would survive. If she were a true philanthropist, she would have helped them financially so that David could have been raised by his own father, but no, what Madonna wants, Madonna gets, and God help anyone who stands in her way. She tricked a man who loved his son enough to give him up because she wanted what amounts to a new pet to her. I hope that when Davis grows up, he'll realize what she's done and end up hating her for it.

I also see what great parents they are, how unspoilt those three kids are, how well they get on with each other and all the other kids at the Centre. The whole family is learning Chechewa (David's native language) and Madonna and Guy use the vocab. all the time with him.
