I am a born and raised American (south florida) and know a bit of spanish. While I am frustrated when people don't know english in my hometown I have to remember that AMERICA DOES NOT HAVE A NATIONAL LANGUAGE. Therefore, as much as I wish everyone spoke english, in the end we are all immigrants into this country, where the dominant (but not national) language happens to be english. Still, I applaud Obama for putting forth the effort to reach out to voting constituents who may be ignored due to their lack of knowledge with the predominately spoken American language.
