I wouldn t necessarily say that: I ve been wearing veneers on all 6 frontmost teeth for more than 10 years now. However, not living in plastic U.S.A., me and my dentist have chosen a white color tone exactly matching the tone of my brightest NATURAL teeth color.
This means, never choose to bright a color for veneers just because you think it can never be too white cause with age it ll darken anyway, because then veneers will look fake and artificial.
No one can tell I wear veneers, apart from that, I didn t choose to get them because of color but to straighten out my a little bit uneven teeth line in front as some teeth were not entirely straight and my parents were too poor when I was a child to get me brackets for straightening them back them. As an adult it would have taken me to long to straighten them out by wearing brackets so I got veneers instead (fully paid by a German private health insurance by the way *G*)

If your teeth veneers are adapted to the size of your lips mouth and jaw, and moreover the color fully matches your NATURAL teeth color, then veneers do look natural!
I think it s all a matter of TASTE - and unfortunately Clooney s taste with regard to looks now has changed to Hollywood style as well….I found him more attractive with his natural teeth, even if they were shorter, smaller and not as extremely white!
By the way: Avoiding coffee, black tea and smoking will keep your teeth white till old age the natural way!…
