It's not completely safe to have lasik surgery as there are still those who have terrible problems with their vision afterwards.

I had that surgery over 6 years ago and still see a little better than 20/20!!! Buy a few bags of frozen peas and rotate them on your eyes, and a great pair of sunglasses. Good luck and I am so proud of you for taking those first steps. MUAH!!!

I quit a job I hated, went back and got my master's degree, lost 40 pounds, turned 40, and completed my first full marathon (that's right, 26.2 miles!). I have a fabulous job and life is SO good! Dear Perez…. I can certainly empathize with your angst regarding the LAZIK proceedure (I've experienced LAZIK myself). By now you've completed the proceedure; and aren't you glad that you went through with it…???? Getting the proceedure was the best $$$ I ever spent!! (I found that the most uncomfortable part of the proceedure was having my eyes forced open - A CLOCKWORK ORANGE style…). Your efforts towards improving yourself are not going unnoticed and hopefully you're feeling PROUD about that; and will continue to take care of yourself! Keep up the great work…
Perez, I wonder if your eye surgery will make the entertainment news? Doubtful. My 85 year old grandmother had Lasik a couple of years ago and was less nervous, agitated, and foaming at the mouth than you. Her surgery was successful. I hope you have a speedy recovery and that you're not up and wandering around on the Ambien doing who knows what. Peace.
