One thing they don't always tell you is that your eyes can burn and sting quite a bit after the surgery once the numbing drops wear off — blue eyes tend to be more sensitive and are more prone to this. I had this happen and I was glad that a friend had warned me ahead of time, so I didn't panic. Just relax, keep your eyes closed, and the stinging will pass after a few hours.

PEREZ - When I saw this post I had an inkling that you would be talking about LASIK surgery. I actually had my Lasik Procedure yesterday (5/29/08) also!!! We're twins!!! How did yours go? I have a little inflamation in my eyes so my dr. suggested increasing the Pred Forte drops but my vision is 20/15!!!!! Congrats to you and me.

I had Lasik in the late '90s. As soon as it was over, I could read the clock on the wall. My eyes poured tears for 4 hours and that was the worst of it. My eyes are still 20/15, ten years later.

Just make sure you wear sun glasses when your outside the first couple weeks the light sucks! and DO NOT rub your eyes.. they are going to itch the 1st couple days.. You will be fine! Good luck!!!!

You'll do great Perez! I had it done almost 2 years ago and I love it! It takes a while to remember you had it done…I'd be in bed and think I'd forgotten to take out my contacts…duh! I love love love love it…and you will too!! Just take it easy for the first few days and don't forget to continue putting in your eye drops!!
