Pete Wentz and Asslee Simpson-Wentz are having a child together and the pair have finally spoken out about it.
The newlyweds released a statement Wednesday night announcing the happy baby news.
They say:
"While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child. This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family.

I'm so happy for them. They will make excellent parents. They seem like a very nice Christian couple. She seems to come from a very nice Christian family. With the first-trimester business pointed it, it made sense for them to wait. Keep in mind that for a while now they've been saying "We're not confirming it;" they haven't said "She's not pregnant."

It's because they are superstitious! People fear announcing anything until after the 1st trimester because there could be a miscarriage, and superstitious people think it will happen if they announce before the 1st trimester is over so they wait it out.
lol… Just like her Nose job… worse kept secret ever. She tries to hard to act like nothing has happened with her nose job and now her pregnancy… I'm still waiting for her to come out and addmit that she had a nose job done. Well at less she came out and said she is indeed pregnant, but probably because she knows she can't hide that one was well as a nose job lol.
I guess she thinks she is being so clever, not confirming or denying her pregnancy, just like she wouldn't confirm or deny her nose job. A tip for everyone out there, when someone says they will neither confirm or deny, that is as good as a confirmation. I wish her every happiness, I'm glad she found a guy that she is so compatible with, and they both seem to be excited to be parents.

if she's now finished with her first trimester, then she was pregnant when she got her tattoo– BIG NO NO!!!
March 4th was the radio interview where she said she got the tattoo the previous night.

It's too bad she's taking his name. All women need to wake up and realize that it's an out of date tradition and that men can no longer own women. Women should not lose their identities to men any longer, and losing your name is literally losing your identity. Also, a child's last name should be something that is given thought to and not just assumed. It could be a combo of both, or whatever suits the child and family best.
That said, congrats to them, I'm sure the little Simpson-Wentz baby will be adorable (I just hope Papa Joe doesn't try to take control!).
