Old hasbeen model Lauren Hutton attacked Sex And The City's portrayal of promiscuous women AND blamed "gay writers" for creating the stereotype that single women are "sluts" on the Today Show Thursday!
WTF?
SATC was based on writings by Candace Bushnell — a woman!!
AND, Hutton confessed she had never seen an episode of SATC but claimed it promoted the untrue myth that it's natural for women to be sexually promiscuous.
Lauren said, "It's written by guys, who happen to be gay, who are sluts. That's what I think. Let's face it most men are sluts. That's what testosterone is supposed to do. As a hunter, if you stayed alive after 30, nature wanted your genes out there. Women were just trying to get the best sperm to make a masterpiece. You have a bunch a guys who are sluts, writing for women and telling them they are supposed to act like this."

Do your research buddy, the movie was written entirely by Michael Patrick King and he is openly gay. I agree with her 100 %. I have been out of high school for almost 5 years and I have seen an increase of sexual promiscuity in girls starting in middle school. Its not just SATC that is causing this.. its music videos, reality shows, the new face of teen dramas.. all this pressure to look a certain way and to want sexual attention from guys is thrown upon girls as soon as they enter the halls of middle school. It sucks that girls have to grow up so fast and lose their innocence just to fit in. The pressure to be sexy is thrown upon these girls at such a young age.. it is hard to figure out what is normal. Shows like the Gossip Girl and Degrassi are so sexed up and portray a much more grown up version of teenagers.. it is damaging to impressionable young girls. Men are teaching boy to be sluts but then they shun girls who give it up too often. I agree with her 100% and if you don't, just look at your local high school.. how many unwed teen mothers are there now.. how many high schoolers are getting drunk every weekend? I have to say I kinda agree with this..though "Sex and the City" is a fun, light-hearted show and movie, sex is made way too casual. Every gay man who I've ever know has openly talked about all the men they sleep with, like having sex with 10 different men in a month is normal and "OK". I don't think it's cool to have a movie promoting that.. not sure what Lauren was really trying to say but I agree with her on the most part
