Old hasbeen model Lauren Hutton attacked Sex And The City's portrayal of promiscuous women AND blamed "gay writers" for creating the stereotype that single women are "sluts" on the Today Show Thursday!
WTF?
SATC was based on writings by Candace Bushnell — a woman!!
AND, Hutton confessed she had never seen an episode of SATC but claimed it promoted the untrue myth that it's natural for women to be sexually promiscuous.
Lauren said, "It's written by guys, who happen to be gay, who are sluts. That's what I think. Let's face it most men are sluts. That's what testosterone is supposed to do. As a hunter, if you stayed alive after 30, nature wanted your genes out there. Women were just trying to get the best sperm to make a masterpiece. You have a bunch a guys who are sluts, writing for women and telling them they are supposed to act like this."

SITC purports to be the truth but actually totally FUDGED the truth when Samantha got cancer — we all know that it should have been AIDS (maybe cancer also). In the real world of sexual promiscuity at the level practiced by these women (and gay men) one of them would have HIV by now. And don't nay say, the statistics bear it out. At the very least she would have an antibiotic resistant Staf infection, like the one which is running rampant throughout gay neighborhoods in SF, but which is being hushed up as no-one wants to apply a "gay" label to it, its not politically correct. Shows up primarily in mens anus's though… connect the dots. It has the potential to be another huge killer — and just might become one due to aforesaid political correctness. Of course, by 11 p.m. he is wasted & leaving with a hottie for random, unsafe sex. He leaves his place (or hotel) around 6 a.m., rush home, shower, shave and head to work. Then, by 6 p.m., he repeats the happy hour ritual capped off by random hot, unsafe sex. He continues this ritual until his body cannot physically handle it any more. Any gay man who disagrees with the aforementioned is a complete hypocrite.

Not to piss any of you haters off, but this old potatoe sack has a point. Sex & The City (plus various other shows) DO promote the idea that women should act in a promiscuous way, and also portray the idea that women should be so non-chalant about sex. But sex, to me, at least, is a HUGE deal. That's a physical joining of two people, and should only be shared with a person you love. That idea applies to bothe men and women: sex should only be going on if you love the other person and/or want babies with your significant other!
