Comedian Harvey Korman passed away at the UCLA Medical Center on Thursday.
He was 81.
We LOVED watching Harvey on the Carol Burnett show and Mama's Family.
The world is a little less funny today.
Thoughts and prayers to the Korman family.

so sad, he was a funny funny man and did it without being cruel or degrading to anyone… but himself!! RIP
The world still has great comedians and has a lot of humor. The reason you don't feel it does is because 24 hour television and the internet brings you ever last misery present in the world in every detail. Stuff you would have waited 24 hours for to read in the next day's paper (if you even bothered) you now get in immediate and gory detail. The world is actually in better shape now than ever- there is just no way to tell you that since normal days and good news doesn't sell. If you turned off your computer and your television, and enjoyed what you have and what is around you, and did a little volunteer work, you might think the world was a lot better than you do. the world is full of risk, but only in this generation do you have to hear every last damn detail of stuff you can't do a thing about.
don't forget about BLAZING SADDLES!!! he was sooooo funny!

He's such an ingrained memory from my childhood - I loved the goofiness and innocence of the Carol Burnett show - with guests Harvey Korman and Vicki Lawrence! Very sad.

He was NOT on the Jeffersons. He was NOT on Mama's Family. He was GREAT at everything he did do - Carol Burnett, Blazing Saddles, High Anxiety, History of the World, even Herbie Goes Bananas (Yeah, I said it!).
Rest in peace Comedic Genius - he was HILARIOUS!!!! They don't make them like they used to!

Harvey was one of my late father's favorites - now they're together!
Aww, he was so funny. I loved him on The Carol Burnett Show!! R.I.P., Harvey!
I remember watching him in "Carol Burnett" re-runs when I was little…he always had a hard time keeping his composure during skits…he was the best.

2) it's HEDLey!! Not HEDY….HEDlEY!!!
Noooooo! I can't believe it… I was watching my favourite Mel Brooks' film "History of the world. Part I" and learnt this. *sighs*
"Very sad" is not enough to describe the loss we've faced, people. Harvey Korman was sooo cool and extremely funny!
i loved him in High Anxiety, and anything else Mel Brooks, he was ssssooo funny! he had a good long life
Re: Marcie – Wrong!!!!!!!!!!! Blazing Saddles is by far the funniest movie ever made.

Tim Conway would crack him up on the Carol Burnett show all the time. The world has lost one of it's clowns.
Harvey, I hope you are up there "Doing that voodoo that you do"!!!!!!!!
"Thats Headly-Headly Lamarr". Im watching "Blazing Saddles" tonight in honor of him. Ig rew up watching "The Carol Burnett show" and he was a comic genius. Team him up with Tim conway and Hilarity always ensued. RIP, Harvey. Make God laugh.
Wah. He was great. I loved him on Carol Burnett, sorry for his family, and former cast-mates. They were better because of him.
Re: Marcie – Sorry Marcie, Tom was played by Franklin Cover. He was NOT in the Jeffersons. That said…I saw Tim Conway and Harvey on do a comedy act last year and they were just awesomely funny.

I'm so glad we had this time together,
Just to have a laugh, and sing a song.
Seems we just got started and before we knew it
Came the time we had to say, 'So long.'

Thanks Ed, thanks Hedly Lamar…thanks for all the wonderful characters you brought to life. God Bless, Harvey.
Harvey was not a regular member of the Mama's Family cast but during the first season both he & Carol Burnett guested several times as Ed & Eunice (they were both a riot at Naomi & Vint's wedding). So her was on Mama's Family, just not all of the time.
one less smile ….. one less laugh ….. you will be missed but not forgotten ….. deepest sympaties to his friends and family … thanks for the laughs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He was so funny in Blazing Saddles!!!!!!
So sad. Young people these days don't know what they're MISSING! Harvey was one of the original funny people of my generation and he will be missed. RIP Mr. Korman.

HOW DID HE DIE. HE WAS MY HERO.
HE WAS MY POPPOP.
HE WAS MY POPOP.
HE WAS MY POPPOP.
HE WAS MY POPPOP.Re: nisha –
Perez is too right when he says the world wil be a little less funny- when I was growing up I thought all comedians were that funny. Turns out I was wrong, those guys on Carol Burnett were the dizzy limit of comedy.
RIP Count Du Monee… Headly……Gizoo….
Lest we forget the Great Gazoo! "Dum Dum"
Harvey Rocks!!!!!!!!!!
I'm glad everyone is being respectful! He was funny and sweet and lived a nice life to 81. I'm 42 and remember loving the Carol Burnette show and he was great on that and in some Mel Brooks movies if I remember correctly?
To the person who sais he wasn't on Mama's Family, he was too!!!! He just wasn't a regular. He was married to Eunice when Carol Burnett would make apperances on mama's family…check imdb.com…..
Re: Marcie – no he was not!!! that was some other dude! He was Heddy Lamar in Blazing Saddles….i am depressed!!!!!!
LOVED HIM!!! He had a nice long life and spent so much of it laughing and making others laugh. He will be missed.
Looks like Heaven got a little funnier…
I hope they drape his casket with curtains…rods and all…that way he uncontrollably giggles all the way into heaven, where I know he'll be welcomed.
Brilliantly funny. He should have been nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his performance in "Blazing Saddles". RIP
Re: snappy – THAT'S HEDLEY DAMMIT!
i dont know him, but
