this is stupid
the majority of the people in this clip cant even vote in the US -they are not US citizens. Imagine US artists going to Mexico , Spain, Argentina, France, the UK or wherever and doing a video to tell the locals who to vote for. They would be laughed out of the country. We should do the same. There are so many great US Latinos that could have done this. Give me a break. Makes me not want to vote for Obama - if Hillary gives up of course.
I used to be a fan, but then her interviews came out where she said Cameron Diaz was more Latina than her and said, "I just consider myself American", denying her background. Did it ever occur to you that Spanish is the language of the Conquistadores? They spoke a Latin (Roman) language therefore they named it "America Latina" because at that time this language was not yet called Spanish.

I however, feel that if you do choose to emigrate to a new country, you have to embrace the new culture and language of your adopted homeland. Segregating yourself does not allow you to become a functioning member of society and frankly, you do not have a voice in any matter pertaining to that society. I feel that far too many people are given rights at the expense of other people and that will be the biggest force of segregation for our societies.

I studied French for 5 years ..many moons ago, but it has stuck with me…my Mom speaks English adn Italian, German, French…and little bit of lots of other languages she passed that on to her children and we are middle class 3rd/4th generation Irish/German. My oldest son has also taken 4 years of French, and my youngest 2..I am want to get them in a Spanish program…I love diversity..but this IS the USA…so we should all have a constant…and that would be English!
