thank you! perez you just don't get it. i am latina but raised in the 70's- my mom DID NOT teach me to speak spanish becasuse it was a very different time-not because she was ashamed of the culture but she wanted me to learn English. We live in America and we speak English. Times are changing and people are little more accepting. But, people lose the language after the 4th generation of living in America. I am an American.

OK, first of all, I don't know why any of these artist made this commercial to begin with. Anyone who was on this commercial is a total sell out and probably appeared in it for free or for just a few cents.
Also, most of the artists in this commercial don't even live here (well maybe except George Lopez and Jogn Leguizamo) so I don't see how this election is really going to affect their lives personally. What Georgie and Johnie should have done should have been to gather up celebrities like Eva Mendez, Eva Langoria, America Ferrara, Jennifer Lopez, Gloria & Emilio Estefan to make a worthwhile commercial with a real message to the Latino community

My dad is a prime example! It is as if he is still living in El Salvador and not in Canada. I understand that it is not easy for everyone but at least make the effort. Actually .. for all of the ignorant people that are saying English is the official language of the United States, CHECK AGAIN. The United States DOES NOT have an official language, maybe if you were paying attention in your high school Government class you would have known that. The United States is a melting pot and our rights and freedoms allow us to speak ANY language we please, although English is the language of choice.
I am of Puerto Rican descent, and I was born and raised in New York City. My mother was also born and raised in NYC .. and yet we both speak Spanish fluently. I read a couple of comments saying that as the generations move on, the children will become more and more distant from their heritage and I do not find that to be true. When I visit Puerto Rico I feel right at home and I yearn to learn more about my culture.
The fact that Jessica Alba blatantly denies her Latino culture and is then featured in this video is an oxymoron of great proportion.
