1.) some of the people who commented on this post are so fucking dumb. what she says is very true. why are we so obsessed w/ these female pop stars who just destroy thier lives? of course they're not the BIGGESt things to come out of england. if you people were smart, you would realize that she is just saying that to make a point, not being literal. we're so obsessed with following the careers of destructive people, instead of listening to people who present things that are actually Relevant and powerful (like MIA). of course there is an entertainment value to music, but there shouldnt be an empowerment of those who are horrendous role models to be in the spotlight (ie amy winehouse, lilly allen. even b spears over here in the US….even though she is cleaning up her act now. thank god).
2.) the people who comment on her looks. ignorant. Shes beautiful. just because she isnt WHITE doesnt mean shes ugly. you people are so fucking stupid. shes sri lankan. obviously she's not going to look like you ignorant fools. but its the ignorant ass comments about her being ugly that keep our community from growing ( i dont mean comments about her, i mean comments like this in general)
3.) best performer ever. that's all i have to say.
so stop following the crackheads from england. start following the people who actually have good music, and are good role models from across the sea (ie, MIA, natasha, leona, duffy, adele….etc)
