The article states that Clinton will concede that Obama has the delegates to secure the nomination. However, the article also states: "The former first lady will stop short of formally suspending or ending her race in her speech in New York City."

The race has pounded on far too long for healing in my opinion. The Democratic Party will not sew itself back together and all back Obama. I doubt Obama would even select Hillary as his running mate. He'd be more likely to add Edwards to his ticket, and either way McCain is the likely winner. The democratic election should have found mutual ground a long time ago, as we are going to have a republican president once more and I doubt there will be much of a change in the failing state of our nation. I'm sad to see her concede, and sad to know that the dream ticket (which would probably ensure a democratic victory) is not at all likely.
