It's a go!
Looks like Hollywood's newest superhero is Seth Rogan.
Yup, that guy from Superbad and Knocked Up.
Rogan's taking the lead role of Britt Reid (a bored playboy who inherits his father's crusading newspaper and spends his nights fighting crime with his sidekick, Kato) AND writing the script for The Green Hornet due in theaters in 2010.
Rogan as a playboy?
It could work…or totally not!

Okay. I really like everything Rogen has done. From Freaks and Geeks to Superbad I've watched and loved them all. I really don't know who "loves" this idea. I'm sure it's not any of my fellow lovers of Comics. I'd like to see him write the film. I wouldn't like to see him as the lead. Thing of all the other super heros. He has got to get his shit together and lose like 100lbs of fat. Oh, and I ought to smack the person who thinks he is sexy.

No, this is horrid casting, but… doesn't surprise me. The same small group of people seem to get the best roles handed to them time after time. I have started watching mostly indie flicks that are privately funded. The studioheads just keep recycling themes, remakes and even actors and actresses, whether they're the best one for the roles or not!

I'll admit it seems unlikely, but you know, Heath Ledger seemed like a very unlikely actor for the Joker, and he pulled it off well.

Seth is awesome, we just were extras on the set of his movie in Albuquerque, he was really nice to the extras. He is so funny, and his laugh can be heard across the room!~ we wish him the best, and hope he will do more films here!~
