This is something that we definitely will NOT be drinking! We need as much energy as we can get!
A beverage company has come out with an 'anti' energy drink called Drank.
Its tag line is "slow your roll." Pretty clever.
The drink's publicist called it the 'extreme relaxation beverage' that goes great with vodka.
The carbonated, grape-flavored beverage is spiked with melatonin, valerian root and rose hips.
What the heck?
Why?????
The creator was apparently thinking of the hip hop community when he concocted it.
The product's press release says, "From design to production, every aspect of this calming drink was inspired by today’s popular hip hop artists who embrace the much sought-after hip hop lifestyle that encourages people to capture a stress-free state of mind."
So, what we're gathering is that it's basically a pot high in a can or something that makes an E high last longer?

You guys are dumb! Its called Drank because in hip-hop Purple Drank is promethazine/codeine mixed with sprite. Ot slows you down like have you heard of dj screw? He slows the music down on his mixtapes and its a representation of how you feel on the "purple drank" or some call it "sizzurp"..
Hence the purple can, the name Drank and the Slowness your suppose to get out of it.
Cocaine energy drinks tried to do this to represent a coke high but they got shut down. Well see how long this lasts.

I seriously don't know what it is about Red Bull and all the other energy drinks my friends and peers drink with vodka and jager, but maybe this shit will help us calm down. i seriously think all the energy drinks are a legal form of cocaine, and i MIGHT be apt to try this stuff if it clams people down without smoking weed. thoughts????

It's great. Its from a beverage company in Houston. Houston is known for "drank" (cough syrup). What you do is mix a couple of ounces of cough syrup with cream soda. Heard of Big Moe? (rapper from Houston) Heard of DJ Screw? Big Moe has a song "Purple Stuff" Probably why the can is purple. It's a legal way to "Slow your Roll"

Valarian Root is used to treat people with extreme anxiety, and melatonin helps reset the body's biorhythms after flying, and helps people sleep. It produces very real and vivid dreams….should be an interesting drink!

I cannot believe they are trying to market something like an herbal "Purple Drank"! The real stuff, for the uninitiated, is codeine cough syrup (to get high) diluted with soda (to make it drinkable) and promethazine (an anti-nausea medication that allows you to consume more codeine w/o tossing your cookies). People have died from this downer "cocktail", mostly because the promethazine can allow you to consume more codeine that you might think, and because people actually drink alcohol along with it.

this has so been out for awhile….or atleast in houston it has.
I am a registered pharmacist in 5 southern U.S. states. I believe that this product is a God-send. I see teens and young adults abuse prometh w/ codeine everyday. I believe that this is a safe alternative to a hip-hop cultured phenomenon that has been happening for the past 15+ years and will not change anytime soon due to popular rappers like Lil Wayne and other H-town/Memphis and even EastCoast artists. If people can "Lean" from this safe concoction of herbal substances then I am down with it. Plus, I recommend it to patients of mine in the Houston area that have a hard time sleeping at night. Kudos to whatever company came up with this idea…Drank Up!
