People are less bothered by lesbianism as it isn't seen as real sexuality. In the US that makes gay women more palatable to a mainstream audiences than gay men. In Europe how many lesbian celebrities are there? not many because they are seen as non sexual thus boring. How many gay male celebrities are there? Tons of presenters, actors, comedians and popstars. I think Europe finds Lesbianism boring and gay male sexuality more acceptable as a legitimate sexuality. So I don't think you can say Lesbians get a better deal. It is because of the attitude that sex isn't sex unless there is a cock involved. So ultimately it comes down to misogyny.

Lance never actually accused you of outing him…the media reported it wrong. And I wouldn't complain too much about it because most people had never heard of you before that.
I think it's important that people be allowed to deal with thier sexuality in their own time and in thier own way. I don't think anyone's family should have to find out about thier loved one's sexual orientation on the internet. Sexuality is a very personal and private thing.

The difference between People's quote and outing closeted actors is that LinSam (or whatever they're going to be called) has made no attempt to hide their relationship; they've appeared together publicly expressing their affection and have allowed the statement about them being "together" to be made. On the other hand, outing someone who has made no public statement about their sexuality is an invasion of their privacy or at least the degree to which the person has come to grips with their sexual identity. Outing someone who doesn't want or isn't ready to be outed is completely different from simply quoting someone who has already gone public.

As a bisexual, I find it difficult to compare my feelings to those of someone who is sole attracted to the same sex. I think that you are being way too critical of their relationship, whatever it is. I know you have your own legal issues with Sam and I can respect that you might have some animosity, but it is not fair for you to attack her personal life so vehemently. I know it’s part of your “shtick” that you are kind of sassy about the celebrities, but this case is obviously different. Lindsay is fairly troubled (we can all see that). I think such media attention on her love life will cause her some duress and affect her negatively.
I’m a straight 17 year old girl, but recently, I’ve started hooking up with my best girl friend. Our new “relationship” is foreign, but we are just doing what feels right at the time. So, labels can be tricky. You should stop labeling Lindsay and Sam because maybe they are just doing what feels right for them and Lindsay hasn’t gone off the deep end yet, so maybe it’s going well for her.

Hi Perez, I love your site. It's fun and interesting. However I will admit, I don't really like the way you are handling the whole Lindsay/samantha issue. I think it is absolutely great that Lindsay is with a girl. And she probably feels uncomfortable to come out at this stage of her life cuz she's probably also having a hard time dealing with her sexual orientation herself. Your eyes will regress a tad in a few years. I had mine done spring of 2002 by the top eye center at the time in Atlanta. Now, in 2006 I really started to notice I could not see the tv or signs when driving as clear. Now, I am getting eye stress headaches. So, I did the lifetime plan…. scared to re-do it, as you mentioned on the bruises…. yes I have horrible ones under my eye lids, they do not go away! and yes, it was worth it…. but need some specks now… I am 20/40 or so.. I say worse..
