Absolutely! Angels and Demons was a much, much better book than DaVinci Code, anyway!

The Movie is definatly Angels and Demons and is a prequel to The Di Vinci Code. I lived in Rome and they were doing the lighting tests and Pre-production work in the Books Main Attractions; The Chigi Chapel, The Vatican and Castle Saint'Angelo. The Book was far better than the Di Vinci Code and will make a much better and more thrilling Movie

the movie they're making is actually the prequel to da vinci code- Angels & Demons. The book was way better than da vinci code, which was a really great book, too. It should be a good movie- lots of action. But I wonder how the Catholic church will fill about it- will be lots of controversy- corrupt, murderous priests & cardinals. Scandalous!

Are you kidding me? Tom Hanks was completely miscast for that role. His performance was absolutely wooden. The movie was poorly scripted and weeks too long. It sucked. Why would they both be stupid enough to revisit that crapfest? May wonders never cease.

Re: orchid – Why don't YOU go direct it then, if it was such a failed piece of cinema effort. I'm sure it would be a masterpiece of the utmost quality and excel beyond the book in your hands. Ass.

Hey Perez I Usually Like The Things You Write In Your Blog But Calling The Da Vinci Code Craptacular Is Abit Contraversial!… I Read Angels And Demons… Dying To See It… And Dyin' To See Gisele As The Lead Actress!… Go Angels And Demons!…

I made the mistake of seeing the first one and it was mind boggling dull and stilted. I won't watch the movie.

i loved the book "the da vinci code" and i enjoyed the film but it could have been so much better
i really hope they do better with Angels and Demons because i truly loved that book i could read it over and over again without getting bored or annoyed.

it is a better read than DiVinci was…

Angels and Demons was a way better book than the Da Vinci Code
Plus I know all the places in this book/movie b/c i used to live in Rome and it should be an awesome movie!

I found the first one not only disrespectful to the Catholic Church, but also insulting to the viewer. I suppose it is actually the book to blame, with all the conspiracy stuff, but I was deeply offended by the material. Is there a person anywhere that believes Mary Magdalene is buried underneath the Eiffel Tower. The old saying is true: To those who believe, no explanation is needed, to those who do not believe, no explanation will ever suffice.

    113

THE DA VINCI CODE WAS A MUCH BETTER MOVIE THAN THE ASANINE CRITICS GAVE IT CREDIT FOR….I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS "PRE" QUEL.

  14. alyson says – reply to this

    114

angels & demons isnt a follow up, perez, its a prequel.
get your facts straight and maybe read the books before you call something 'craptacular?'

  15. Kriste says – reply to this

    115

Angels and demons is actually the prequel to Davinci code and it was a better read than davinci code.

I predict it will be more controversial too. Angels and demons doesn't pain the Roman catholic religion in the best light.

Angels and Demons they are shooting and its better then the Da vinci code

i was supposed to be filming with them as well today but i had to cancel as i'm ill :-( i would have loved to work with tom hanks…
the movie is gonna be about the book "angels and demons" but the actual title is going to be "obelisk".. i gotta be honest though…i watched the first movie about the Da Vinci code and i didn't understand anything about it and i just fell asleep after half an hour lol!

    119

If this is based on Angels and Demons, it's a prequel, not really a follow up…

  20. Erinnn says – reply to this

    120

too bad the "follow up" , angels and demons, was written before the da vinci code and was just with the same main character.

  21. mb00 says – reply to this

    121

well, it's not really a "follow up". More like a prequal. Angels & Demons came out as a book before the di vinci code did and is set in Rome. And it was a WAY better book. Hopefully they won't ruin it like they did with the di vinci code movie, but it's Tom Hanks & Ron Howard, so I'm sure they will.

  22. Erin says – reply to this

    122

Tom Hanks is HOT. Total dilf. Of course I'm going to watch it.

  23. alison says – reply to this

    123

um, the PREQUEL is called angels and demons. its in my opinion, the book was on the same level as the davinci code. the movie should be about the same as the first because after all, you can cram all the excitement of the book into a movie less than 2hrs long. give em a break.

  24. Toni says – reply to this

    124

It's actually not really a sequel, it's probably Angels and Demons, another Dan Brown novel. Potentially way more action.

  25. Laura says – reply to this

    125

Angels and Demons was a wayyyy better book than the Da Vinci Code so hopefully the movie will be better!

  26. sarah says – reply to this

    126

That movie was totally craptastic and those of you that think it wasn't need to read the book.

  27. Kimber says – reply to this

    127

I know that you said it's a "follow-up", but really they're filming the book that came before The Da Vinci Code called Angels + Demons. Personally, I am highly looking forward to it.

  28. Mel he says – reply to this

    128

i can't agree with you on this one perez! they're working on the prequel to the da vinci code, it's called angels & demons…but i'm sure the movie won't be as good as the book though.
    you should check it out!

  29. lalala says – reply to this

    129

omj! i hope its angel and demons!!!!

There is a TRUE 500-year-old mystery in Rome that was just solved this year. Read THE SISTINE SECRETS - and find out that Life sometimes reflects Art.

my friend is tom hanks' stand in for the film
they'll be in italy for a month, can't wait to see the movie :]

  32. kvn du says – reply to this

    132

its not a follow up, angels and demons came first. and it is so much better than davinci

  33. vittor says – reply to this

    133

i read both books and have seen da vinci code…. angles and demons is a much much better book and im sure will make a much better movie, plus its NOT a follow up to Da Vinci Code, it actually came before it. I think it will be much better, but there are some pretty gory scenes so it will be interesting to see how they do them.

  34. Oh No! says – reply to this

    134

There is something about a Ron Howard movie that makes me want to go into hibernation. He should stick to light fluffy comedies. He does not have the knack for directing suspenceful films. Ye gads, another Ron Howard snooze fest. Oh by the way take of the cap baldy, we know you have lost your hair!!

  35. emma says – reply to this

    135

are you kidding me? i loved that movie. and the book.

  36. Leigh says – reply to this

    136

okay first of all Angels and Demons WONT be a sequel to Da Vinci Code. It's actually the prequel. Dan Brown's books are great and everyone should go see it. Ive been to italy twice and went to all of the places in the book Angels and Demons and it's something you need to experience. Perez, if you don't see this movie or read the book you're missing out on a lot!!!! :)
