Obama's political career is much shorter than that of McCain's; thus, Obama supporters can negate lot of McCain's political decisions. If you REALLY want to know what McCain and Obama are about, go to the Senate Website, and read the "Voting Record" of each candidate. That should give you all the information who will need to know on how to best decide which man is better prepared to lead this country. Don't listen to their sugar-coated speeches…read their record. Be assured that however they've voted in the past, will transfer to how each will run the country. Be an intellingent voter. Don't allow sweet talk to fool you guys out there…vote, it's your right, but vote smart!

As far as Obama raising taxes, people have been given tax rebates under the current administration; however, that minimal amount refunded has been spent 10X over with gas prices, rising food prices and health insurance premiums. In effect, your taxes HAVE BEEN raised under Bush, but hidden.
Also, the female population is not 50-50 dem vs. republican. The population as a whole maybe, but women tend to lean more democratic.
