Shipping heiress Athina Onassis (de Miranda) has decided to sell more than 40 expen$ive pieces of jewelry owned by her late mother, Christina, who died when she was three.
Jacqueline Kennedy was married to Athina's gramps, Greek gazillionaire Aristotle.
The jewellery collection has an estimated value of $16 million and is being auctioned on Wednesday.
It is on public show at Christie’s in London today, Tuesday.
The sale is prompted not by a lack of money. Athina inherited a fortune estimated at $2 billion.
Apparently, Athina doesn't think the jewels fit her lifestyle. Girl is a profesh equestrian based in Brazil.

Experts argue that the sale is bound to attract further criticism that she has no respect for her family’s past.
Some things available for purchase by rich people include a pear-shaped 38-carat diamond estimated at up to $4.4 million and a ruby and diamond necklace by Van Cleef and Arpels, expected to make up to $80,000.
Why didn't she just give the stuff to a museum?????

Maybe people should stop spending other peoples money for them. It isn't anybody else's business what she does with her property. If she wants to donate the money to charity, thats her decision. Why don't you have a tag sale and then donate then let us decide how you should spend the money?
Many do not remember her Mother's very troubled life. If this young lady has found a way to live a life without the drama and drugs her Mother's had…..then that is remarkable! Whatever it takes, kid.
A lady never rides without gloves…. I ride every day and if I rode once without gloves it would totally shred my hands. She must have hands like a deck hand!
