Baby Got (Penis) Back

A Chinese baby boy born with an extra penis on his back spent three hours in surgery this past weekend to have the extra, uhm, member, removed.

The tot's former condition is called fetus in fetu (FIF), a condition where twins fail to develop normally in the womb and one becomes conjoined or reabsorbed.

The extra penis was attached to the spine and nervous system of the infant. The three hour long operation to remove the penis posed a high degree of difficulty, but was completed successfully, with the baby showing no signs of nerve damage.

    Amazing what technology there is out there today. I'd hate to have been him at a beach party 50 years ago.     you'd be surprised how often stuff like this happened. When a twin doesn't fully form, this is the result. Sometimes you have extra limbs like that kid in India with 4 arms and 4 legs, sometimes you have male and female organs or there have been cases when they have found a twin inside a person years after they were born.
