Fuck Off i no longer will read your site because of this. You need to get a clue about the world… MCCAIN 08! If Barack gets it we are fucked so get ready to pay even more taxes and have another terrorist attack. If one of your family members were killed you wouldnt feel the same about moveon.org or the democratic party right now. Get a fucking clue…

I am all for intelligent discussion but this isn't it. If you are a dyed in the wool conservative maybe you should get your gossip fix on all those CONSERVATIVE websites like FoxNews.com This is a liberal site- I don't go to the NRA's site and demand that my liberal viewpoint be addressed! This is Hollywood, Folks. I am a snotty Californian that is thankful for our liberal pockets..don't like it-well hopefully you don't live here. Actors vote and therefore are allowed to air their political views. Idiots.

Cusack is actually very well-read and knowledgeable about politics and has been expressing his disdain for conservatives for decades. He's also written several articulate posts for the Huffington Post. I'm sure he isn't getting paid for that statement. And to compare Moveon.org to FOX News is ridiculous. Yes, they both have an agenda, but a News station is supposed to be the press, an objective outlet, not a cheerleader for one side or another. Moveon.org makes no bones about its agenda and is a political organization; it's supposed to have one. I've met Joan and she's awesome. Keep speaking the truth, John. I'll buy 2 tickets to your movies to make up for every conservative jerk who says they'll no longer see them. And has anyone seen "Grace is Gone?" He's going to get nominated for that role.

There are lots of Hollywood actors that continually support a conservative government. But here is the difference between liberals and conservatives when it comes to politics.
Liberals bitch, moan, jump on the soap box, and profit by making slogan shirts, criticizing others, making ridiculous films, being hypocrites, and cashing while they masturbate their egos, stuff their wallets, and do one thing while bitching at you to do another.
Hollywood conservatives are just busy working, living, and quietly executing the agenda themselves instead of asking you to do it for them. For example, John Cusack makes a strong political movie, he spends money on himself in order to tell you what to think and do (note this movie tanked)
Adam Sandler goes about his days making a product that is successful and he impliments his beliefs without bitching at you and ultimately looking to receive your praise upon the pulpit (Adam donates large portions of his acting fees to the fisher house on the east coast to support injured soldiers, his entire check from Reign Over Me was turned over to the Fisher House Charity and he also gives to various conservative fundraising organizations). The quiet American does the job, does not ask others to do it for him and then look to be exalted.

they actually may abandon a town near Wisconsin Dells. It was flooded last August and yesterday. Destroy the watersheds and wetlands (basically same thing) and Nature will find a way to take it back. So yes, If the area has been hit and hit and hit it is a good sign that we probably should not rebuild there. So except for the Viva NO we agree.

Re: jess – It's a shame that you think in such general terms. Yes… conservatives AND Republicans read Perez. And no… NOT ALL conservatives or Republicans are against gays or gay marriage. More shocking is that a liberal would be so insensitive as to use the word "retarded" as a means to insult someone. Maybe you could use some of the energy spent hating things you know nothing about on showing a little tolerance and sensitivity yourself.

IF it was up to the democrats we would have left Iraq with our tails between our legs, with Al Qaeda saying they defeated the military power of America , with Iran having control of most of Iraq, except the parts that Al Qaeda terrorized and controlled, instead with John McCain's powerful support America changed strategy ( which McCain advocated this strategy/ troops three years earlier) and turned around a losing war not seen since Lincoln fired his third General in the Civil War. End of 2006 to losing this war to the middle of 2008 to actually wining it. Everyone even critics say that Al Qaeda is all put defeated and the Iraqi army getting control back from Iran backed militia's, is something they didn't think could happen or happen this fast. Obama said in January of 07 "this war is all but lost and that this new strategy has no chance of succeeding", a guy who was a community organizer just a few years ago knows so much about, the military, war strategy and planning or national security. John McCain who served 21 years in the military who's father and grandfather were famous 4 star Admirals ( first time in American history to have a father and son Admirals in military and has two sons serving in the military, because he doesn't support the democrat's bill that just wants to weaken the military he has John Cusack a B list actor calling him out on his support for the troops, give me a break.

That what left wing actors and even people like Perez are counting on, a stupid public electing someone as unqualified and unprepared to be President as Obama,( as long as he's not Bush) never mind that Obama's barely American growing up mostly in a muslim country, with muslims relatives and step father and then coming to study in America and hooking up with American hating Pastor/ church and circle of friends,…. ah I want this guy being the Commander in Chief of the American military and control of America, not in my worst nightmares.

Wow–you seem to have an anger problem…sounds like McCain's your type of candidate.
Concerning John Cusack, who has one of the most respected acting careers in the business if you do your homework, I thought all Americans had the right to freedom of speech. Oh wait–the Constitution only applies to people who aren't famous or "washed-up douches." Jenna needs to read less perezhilton.com and more newspapers.

    119

Give me a fucking break, is that how democrats think their going to win this election John McCain voted with on this and that with President Bush , maybe they were the right votes, like McCain not voting for that democrat sponsored military bill, that will weaken the military, and make the American military as strong as that of France, which is what these left wing losers want, a weak military, so that it can't compete for federal dollars for all their social programs.

  22. londo says – reply to this

    122

I'm a democrat and if Cusack think that linking McCain to Bush will change my mind, he is simple to naive. Hey John, here are 3 facts:

    McCain is an American Hero.
Obama is a muzlim's son and his mentor, Rev Writh hates America.
His wife Michele never, until now ,has being proud of America.

Who do you think will win the election this year? Really, who? Being black will not make you a better president. And that is all Obama has as a weapon. Not enough.

John Cusack can have convictions and still be an actor. One does not preclude the other, and he seems an intelligent enough fellow. Don't lose respect for any U.S. citizen who cares about politics and gets off their azz to get involved with the political process. Everyone should get involved, as it's your future. You don't have to agree with him. He is presenting a view; you are supposed to ponder what he said, think for yourself, and put it into your 'who am I going to vote for' mental plus/minus ledger along with other information you research yourself before you make an informed decision. They represent YOU.

It's all fixed and everything is already planned so don't get too bend out of shape. Maybe in another 100 years. I admire Obama for running even thought I can't stand listening to him talk about absolutely nothing. Have you ever even heard him speak in details. Re: comeo – You must be talking about the rumored rigged Black Box Conputer Voting. Some say that the only way a Democrat will ever win the presidency ever again is if voting goes back to paper ballot. Dems still feel they won the last two, particularly as the results were too far off the exit polls. I'm an independant, but I don't like the idea of that.

I don't understand all the bashing about "he's an actor and should stick to acting." What about fighting what you believe in. It may not be what you believe in, personally, but he seems to be doing something about what he believes in. Many people are upset about America's current condition concerning the economy, the war, etc. But different people have different ideas on how to deal with it and different takes on particular issues.

I see this message as a "think about it." And if you want to prove him wrong by researching it yourself, by all means, go ahead! The best thing you can do about this is to find out what's true and what isn't. I'm sure people agree and disagree on particular points with each candidate and it is almost never absolute.

If you are not repulsed by it, I truly feel sorry for you for being so ignorant. You have minds of your own! Don't let yourself be so easily swayed.

So many racist dumbasses. If Obama was white and his name was Christopher Smith the presidency would've been handed to him a long time ago. It's funny how people manage to read between the lines and make up excuses for a man who clearly has no clue as to what would be in the best interest of this country. To vote for a man who is mentally living in 1945, with no education what-so-ever, agreeing with Bush (America's greatest terrorist), over a highly educated black man who represents change is just beyond stupid. And for all you…………..I'm voting McCain because Hillary is gone………….SUCK A DICK!!!!!!!!!

He is no longer, however, if you've been paying the slightest bit of attention to his flip flops since he's been on the campaign trail. It would seem that McCain's beliefs fall right in line with whatever he thinks will be the right position to get him elected. So, basically, he stands for nothing. He hasn't the character to have a position, it's all politics.

If he is going to make comments , tell people something they don't know, or something not written for him. Wisdom ? I don't think so. He has no concrete solutions for anything. Everyone is looking for a change from Bush but I don't think Obama is that solution.
I am from Boston and everyone voted for Deval Patrick because he was a change and said what he wanted everyone to hear; just like Obama. Instead Deval has done nothing to better MA but continues to make mistakes.

all of our enemies (Al Queda, havez, etc) want the obamessiah. He will make this country so weak while taking money from the middle class and higher to give the welfare people and illegals more. I'm all for helping people but they have to help themselves a little. How do you feel about paying reparations? You will with Barry O. Obama means big government getting involved with your finances among other things. Who's he going to throw under the bus next? The american people.

Thank you, John….you've just given me another reason to love you! I agree…Bush & McCain are 2 peas in a pod, although I'm not too thrilled w/ Obama either….he doesn't seem very "American". It's tough, deciding who to vote for. Hell, I don't feel like voting for either one of them. It's sooo frustrating, ’cause they all tell us what they "think" we want to "hear" to get into office, and then it all goes out the window once they're in. Basically, our Government & just about everyone in it is corrupt. It's soo scary living in this day & age…war, disease, catastrophic weather, psycho killers, glabal warming, etc. I just want to live like the Swiss Family Robinson someplace far away to get away from all the craziness. What's a girl to do? This world is going to hell in a bucket, at a rapid pace.

    Re: final

i couldn't agree more. According to Perez, the majority of people who come to this site are 18-24 year olds, and the right wing/fox news brainwashing has turned my hope for a generation of revolutionaries to people who are trying to revive the 80's mentality materialist/supericial paris hilton-type mentality.. THINK FOR YOURSELVES. QUESTION AUTHORITY. or are you SHEEP?

who gives a shit what John Cusack says…we need a strong candidate in there and Obama is not. We need to remember what the hell our troops are doing over there and that's protecting our freedom so douches like Cusack can make videos like this. I'd like to see Cusack put his money where is mouth is and go over and see what our troops are doing. I'm sick of the liberal view. You are everything that is wrong with the world today. McCain for 08!!!
