I love reading your site Perez, but I think that at times you can be a little biased. I urge you to look at all the facts before claiming that someone is an "idiot" based on one small thing that they have said. There are plenty of comments that could qualify Obama as an idiot- why aren't you reporting those?

the clip was cut in such a way that it is impossible to read into the full context of what he was saying…
now uninformed citizens will watch this video and be completely misguided because mccain's response was poorly worded and the video was edited/cut inadequately.

Grow up, stop jumping on bandwagons and perhaps watch the clips you post. What our future president was saying was that we have troops deployed all over the world, so bringing troops home from just one of the many regions where they are deployed is not too important, what is important is preventing the troops who are deployed from being killed. Are you saying you disagree? Do you think preventing US casualties is unimportant?

Re: Meagh – Problem is, McKissass is a warmonger, and a defacto member of the Military Industrial Complex, hence, he never wants the troops out. He wants to keep spending that 10-12 billion plus a month. Excellent income for the corporate elite. What gets me is that rightwingers get just pennies for doing this.
It'd be a complete waste to just immediatly pull out troops. We should not have gone to Iraq in the first place, but we did and mccain can't change that. Of course, he's going to do everything in his power to send the troops home safely. But if we just all of the sudden pull out, then how awful that would be to all of the American lives already killed in this war, it'd be all for nothing. Not even Obama can immediatly pull troops out if he gets elected ( which I hope does not happen). Maybe you should consider the fact that McCain knows a thing or two about war because he's actually been in one unlike obama who has no idea what the hell he's talking about or what's going on over there. Sunnis and Shiites are actually working together now to combat insurgents and al qaeda….I would hope that you will look into these things in the future before writing a long paragraph about the ramifications of pulling out our troops when the whole point of being there is finally working…thanks

AGREED. Perez - you are simply posted the video because it was cut in a way to only see one small piece of a conversation on the Today Show. Great source - THERE'S ONLY ONE WAY TO KNOW WHAT A POLITICIAN WILL DO - look at their voting history and actions in the past. Not some foo foo interview on a morning show or some mainstream biased media outlet.
