To be fair, I don't recall her specifcally blaming the lack of material soley on the writers - she simply said there was a lack of material - it seems to be the media that is reading into what that means. She may be very aware that the lack of material was her fault due to a filming schedule etc.

Its really amazing how some actors get "famous" while on TV with an ensemble cast (meaning EVERYONE is the star, not just one person) and they think after getting one or two "other projects" based on being part of a hit, ENSEMBLE CAST show, they are now "it".
She'll go the way of David Caruso who, after a couple of good reviews on that cop show, decided he was too good for the show, quit, made crappy movies and wasn't 'heard from again until he humbly went back to TV on CSI Miami, another ensemble show.

Lighten up - she's not even 30, and spoke up with candor, but it turned into a public relations miss step that she might wish she could take back. It sounds as if she's frustrated and unchallenged by her continuing role this season. A more seasoned actor would have personally approached the show's writers or brass to try to close this gap, but sometimes the young erroneously think they have to 'take a stand', as they do not yet realize that they have the power to fix it copacetically on their own.
