Wifey Gwenny Paltrow seems to be rubbing off on Chirssy boy!
According to the BBC, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin walked out nine minutes into a pre-recorded interview for BBC's Radio 4 because he wasn't enjoying himself.
He's probably a nine-minute (if that!) man in bed too!
The band's drummer, Will Champion, was left to answer questions from the interviewer until Martin decided to return for one final question.
Seems like Chrissy was on the defensive and pouty from the get go. When he was asked about a speech he made at a music awards ceremony in 2005 where he said the band would be away "for a very long time", Martin said, "I always say stupid things and I think Radio 4 is the place that will most remind me of that."
Then when the interviewer questioned whether the new album was a morbid reflection of the band's lyrical obsession with death.
Husband of Gwenny said, "I wouldn't agree with you there at all, no. I'd say you're journalistically twisting me into saying something I don't really mean."
He then peaced out a few minutes later saying "(I'm) not really enjoying this" and that he did not really like "having to talk about things".
Martin returned to answer a final question, about finding new musical territory, with the response: "Um….yes…yes, yes….exactly…"
Get over yourself, Chris.
You have an album to promote.
Deal with it.

First of all, I actually heard the interview, and the journalist was making unfair and stupid remarks regarding their music. It is something that every band goes through when they make music about love, death, and birth. I think CM was getting frustrated that the journalist kept twisting his words around and make the band seem like a bunch of morbid people trying to make money. That isn't the case and I think rather than saying something he would later regret on the radio, he did the smart thing and just walked away!

Obligations notwithstanding, some journalists are twats. The constant focus on the negative and shit stirring denotes a decline in what's presented to the general populace, and is a type of ambulance chasing, and I don't blame Martin for withdrawing; media standards can and should do better, and this is the BBC yet. Not having seen the interview, want to acknowledge that the above could be just a snippet of the interview, and as such the tone could have been different than portrayed above…

I APPLAUD the Man. The interviewer seemed to be on the negative side…and that is not the way a real artist should want to promote their album. The discussion on Coldplay's new album is a valid topic - as well as his behavior during the interview… BUT commenting on his sexual inclinations or abilities in the bedroom (that have NOTHING to do with either topic) just takes this website to another low level. Nasty comments from Perez are becoming more the standard and the news is secondary. Looks like Perez is more into promoting Perez than in presenting current celebrity news.

my limited experience with bbc radio 4 is that they're a bunch of jackasses, but if you don't want to be asked unexpected questions, then don't give interviews. i must say, though, the average 9 minute segment of chris martin's life is much better than mine. i mean, he's got gwyneth to himself. rock stars today, i tell you.
