Missy Elliot is coming out with a long-awaited new album, Block Party, later this summer and the first single has just dropped.
Best, Best is an R&B jam with Missy singing and not rapping. The song was produced by Timbaland's protege, Danja, and we like it. But we don't love it!
1) Missy is singing, and that's not her forte.
2) Missy is singing about a man, and that's just not believable!

It's ok, but it's not the best that Missy has to offer. I mean usually I hear a song by her and am blown away by her quirkyness, her lyrics, or just a catchy beat. If you told me someone else sang this I would probably be ok with it, but I expect a lot more from Missy Elliot.

Perez you might want to check your facts….Missy was a singer before she was a rapper. Unfortunately, when she came on the scene, a big girl singer trying to be sexy and seductive just wasn't in. I suppose it still isn't but back then she would've had to compete with Mariah, Brandy, Monica and Aaliyah. Tough competition. Glad to see she finally came back to her roots and showed off her pretty voice! I LOVES it!

I have to admit that this song is an awesome follow-up from her last album "Cookbook". Her last album was a total mess musically and didn't show off Missy's talent with music. However, judging from this new song I can't wait to see what she has produced!!
